It's not actually a TT, it's a tubular steel chassis with a Formula 1-style carbon tub. Mid engined, 4.2 V8, pair of Garrett GT2871R turbochargers, 650cc injectors, forged pistons and custom rods, carbon plenum chambers, twin intercoolers. Full aerodynamic kit, big power, very fast. It's not road-legal, but it's a sprint car that runs in the British Hillclimb Championships. Broken almost every sprint and hillclimb Sport Libre record in the UK.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:
That's one weird looking TT....it'd be hella quick though...

Carbon bodywork, Quaiffe 6-speeder on customized Quattro AWD, custom diffs, AP Racing 4-pots, remote canister coilovers on S2 struts. The guys a genius- everything is carbon, from the bodywork to the plenum chambers, heat shields...right down to the gearbox bellhousing.

Sprint racing and UK hillclimbing- tight bends, smooth roads. All about 0-130 acceleration, handling, brakes and guts.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:I get the feeling that's not built for Pikes Peak.....or any dirt road for that matter...

Who cares, the topic's lucky to be still left unlocked...
About fast Audi TTs, check out this one...

Shame it doesn't actually work very well. The best thing MTM has done recently is the supercharger kit for the R8.Striker94 wrote:Who cares, the topic's lucky to be still left unlocked...

Re: Sport Sedans Competition
On the topic of sports sedans. I'd have a Pontiac G8 GT. Bwahahahah. This question is seriously lacking in choices (CTS-V Anyone?).

And I'm supposed to be IMPRESSED by your choice of a G8 GT? It's just a Common-w***e. It's not that brilliant....

Re: Sport Sedans Competition
Quoted for truth. There are dozens of brilliant sports saloons- The E36 and E90 M3 and E28/E34/E39/E60 M5, Audi S and RS4's of every generation (100, B5, B6, B7 and B8), the S and particularly RS6 (572bhp twin-turbo V10 powered saloon- yes please) for a few examples.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:And I'm supposed to be IMPRESSED by your choice of a G8 GT? Yeah I'll take a new RS6 over a CTS-V or G8 any day.
But if really given a choice I would rather have the RS6 Avant instead of the Sedan, but that's a different topic.

Re: Sport Sedans Competition
Why do I still think the G8 GXP is awesome? I'm not particularly impressed by the G8 GT, but I like the GTO 6.0L / Monaro CV8R and the GT GXP / Commodore SS. It's funny, though, because Mustangs and even most Corvettes bore me. That's, again, another topic, though...
Also, who says Honda has no decent four-door cars?
Mugen Legend MAX: Honda F1 V8 + RWD + Acura body + Mugen-tuned = win.

Actually, I meant to be more sarcastic, but failed. In fact, I epic failed, because I chose the GT over the GXP (I forgot about it).Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:And I'm supposed to be IMPRESSED by your choice of a G8 GT? It's just a Common-w***e. It's not that brilliant....
I really do like it, but mostly because it's big , cheap, and loud--all of which appeal to me on a deep physical level.
I'm also a redneck american who is not familiar with Monaros or Commodores and think "Awdis" and "Beamers" are for snobs (actually, not even I'M sure if I was being sarcastic just now).
All I really mean is that, speaking for the South of the U.S.: THUMBS-UP!
[EDIT]: FLIPPIN DANG! I just realized that steelsnake owned an M3 and currently has an Audi. O.K. That part really was sarcasm...I think.

Re: Sport Sedans Competition
Not to sound obsessed with the F6 Typhoon or anything but....it's faster than both G8s. Not that you'd be interested though. They don't come in LHD
Re: Sport Sedans Competition
Yeah, you've been going on about that like you used to go on about GT5 Prologue... But it is fast, and looks good, but I'd still prefer a Walkinshaw R8. (who says 400kw is enough?)
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Lexus IS-F, or even a Granturismo?

Re: Sport Sedans Competition
That's because the GranTurismo is a 2-door coupe. The correct term you are looking for is Quattroporte. And I had forgotten about the IS-F completely until you brought it up just then.

The topic opener is an impulsive poster, and I believe it must have slipped off his mind. I too have completely forgotten about the Lexus.Striker94 wrote:I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Lexus IS-F, or even a Granturismo?
Oh, and K_Rox is right. The GranTurismo is a GT, not a sedan.
