Why No 3D customizable avatars?

It clearly see that the driver model is being shown in S2U, as it has been in many of the other NFS game. Wouldn't it be nice if that driver image was of YOU or of your own making? EA, out of all the video gaming cooperations in the world, refuses to allow the NFS franchise 3D customizable avatars. Just how immersible can a "true realistic" racing game be, when it lacks some the of real world elements that are found in a simarcade game like TDU?
Re: Why No 3D customizable avatars?
How is an avatar going to affect game play at all?
FM, GT dont have avatars and they are ultra realistic so how does making an avatar make a game realistic.
If anything avatars make a game gay.
I care less what he looks like, thats pretty gay.

^This. Honestly, car customization > avatar customization.Cipher wrote:How is an avatar going to affect game play at all?

Re: Why No 3D customizable avatars?
this is not Test Drive Unlimited (2)
and if they add customizable avatar feature, they'll have to take something else out as well... and we don't want that do we?

Also, how do customizable avatars make a racer immersible? The helmet view is more immersible than that.

Oshaylinux needs to watch out for the windmill...
Seriously one of the things I HATED from TDU2 was that smug looking git that was supposed to be your avatar. Screw that he looks like a prick, acts like a prick and portrays a veneer of superficiality that I actually find insulting.
GT5 allowed you to pick Race overalls and Helmet colours but it was a last minute idea and ended up a bit of a lame duck. Shift 2 got it right, the emphasis is on the cars and it's staying there. No need to weewee about with crappy avatars...
