hehe, was gonna start up smth like that myself.. .
Well, in all fairness, the French did hell of a job to claw back in, and Brits got noone to blame but themselves for the second goal...
Zidane scored a beautiful goal too. Again... In all fairness... Hmm.. My prediction was 1:1 and it almost held out...

I hope the Netherlands will have a chance against rest of europe. They have great players but the team is not fuctioning. I keep my fingers crossed. And france, there assholes to win against england but great free kick from zidane!! I think the Netherlands must win against Germany on teusday, it is almost more important then winning the euro cup!!

I hated France too... is typical rivalizating between Spain and France.
We won Russia days ago, but playing bad... I hope to see any match as Euro 2000, when Spain played vs Yugoslavia... and got 2 goals in last 5minutes (From 2-3 to 4-3) wow what a Alfonso's goal! Do u remember??

Very good game for Sweden. I think Bulgaria held out quite well, until the 2nd one went in - I think they just gave in then.
I certainly hope Holland beat Germany tomorrow (or tonight lol), otherwise we English will have to do it in the semi, before we own France in the final

Woot?? Lucky? Lambards header was lucky? LOL, you are wrong.
Sweden - whooa! What a thrashing of Bulgaria, and Bulgaria is not an outsider, a strong good team. Larsson is probably the best forward so far in the championship. The way Italy and Denmark played... I feel bad for Italy, they can play better than that.
Greece win over Portugal is 'just one of those moments', just like France and Argentina losing their World Cup matches in 2002. So don't really count on Greece - they are the outsiders, and nothing really changed. (reality check!)
The way Spain (3rd best team in the world in ranking, no?) played against Russia... They just better start playing better too, because that game was really bad to look at.

Dont care that much about football. I only hope one thing, that Holland makes ONE goal more than Germany

UrQ: Yeah, that red card was just stupid. Ok, the ref was far away, and it probably looked like he stopped it with his hands. But how could he be 100% sure about that? Terje Hauge has put himself into a lot of trouble with this...
And to you Italians: What do you feel about your "hero" Totti? In my opinion, he should be banned from all football fields for the rest of 2004 (or maybe longer). And yes, I mean it by all my heart.
Edit: Uhm.. Didn't I just reply to a post?

I was gonna add smth to it, but hit delete button lol
Well, I was gonna add - that guy was from Norway, lol. Yartsev said - I won't comment it and all media here says - there was so much crap going on inside the team before the championship started (firing Mostovoy, putting Bulykin as a forward, using single forward tactic vs. 2 forward, etc.) that they had little chance. It was a decent second half for a team that was 1 men down. Alenichev is always good, but that's a bout it. C. Ronaldo is a talent no doubt, when he got on the field, the game got so much tighter. But if Portugese lose to Spain, and Russia beats Greece - it will mean a bitter sweet revenge.

Yeah, he's from Norway
Ronaldo was a big help, but he came in too late, really. I'm a big Man United-fan, so obviously I like him a lot
But I still don't think I want to see Portugal in the quarter finals. They played really bad against Greece, and they didn't impress me today either. I'm a bit disappointed actually.
I don't think Russia will beat Greece tho. It depends a little on how much they are willing to fight for it, since they're already out after the group stage. And even if they fight, I don't think they will manage to get too many points from that match. We'll see on Sunday

Greece is through anyway, so it's really up to Spain and Portugal to fight it out. What do you know...
Well, I am hoping the Czech team does well, wish them to get into the final and win the whole thing. And Yes, Portugal is dissapointment. So much tallent, yet struggling against Russia (even though won) and horrible against Greece.

Are you sure Greece is through? I've been checking the table, and what if this happens: Portugal and Spain gets a draw, and Russia wins. Then Greece would end up with 4 points, and no plus (home) goals (more away goals if Russia wins with 2 or more goals), Spain would end up with 5 points, and Portugal would get 4 points (1 plus goal).
I don't know if it's decided by home/away goals tho, so if it's decided by the match between Greece and Portugal, then Greece is through. If it's by goals, then Portugal would be through...
I was kinda hoping for Latvia to get a point, but facing Germany and Holland will be hard. Still, they're new in Euro, and they've impressed a lot (why I'm hoping for Latvia? Well, when I was 12 we had a school trip there for a week, so Latvia has been kinda special to me since). I also hope Sweden and Denmark will get far, and it's looking good so far for Sweden

And England, but they need to get over the France match...

I think what UrQ means is that Greece won't loose against Russia...

Although I hope they will, since I like Spain and Portugal to go through.
And I hope Denmark and Sweden wins 'our' group. It looked like Sweden had alot of fun the other day and Denmark really showed some great football (unlike Italy.. creating no chances.. spitting and.. bah..

).

Do you all remember the Euro2000 final Italy vs France ..?
How much should ITALIANS HATE FRENCH????
Just remember the game: Italy played beautifully and at the 4th minute of injury time "someone" scored...and then THIS shiznit GOLDEN GOAL RULE!!!
I HATE FRENCH (especially Barthez!!!!) NOT BECAUSE OF RACISM..BUT SIMPLY BECAUSE THE FRENCH HAVE ALWAYS SOMETHING AGAINST ITALY(ITALIANS) AND SPAIN!!! THAT'S WHY! FORZA ITALIA!!!
But this is a Nfs Forum and not an Euro 2004 WebSite...
