Welcome to the forums!
There is a util called Fraps, and you can record all what happens in your screen using this tool (as far as I know).
I have never used it, but you can try. Click here to download Fraps

move making is easy ive made plenty of movie's for my self both for NFSU and CS (Counter Strike) fraps is very easy to use you just download it from here http://www.fraps.com then install it then set up the config you want on it then go play NFSU press the button u chose for record when you are racing then when u finished all ur recording goto desktop/start/all programs/windows moviw maker. then just import the files you recorded they are located at my computer/local disk/ fraps. then just put the clips in the timeline when uve uploaded them onto wmm and add ur effects and stuff like transitions credits titles then once you've made it just save the movie then u have done ur movie.

Does anyone know where I can get the full version of Fraps for free?
I don't like paying for stuff over the net.

The Default save-folder is "C:\Fraps", but you can always change it.

BTw: this topic is 8 months old

okay, another question:
now, i got WMM 2.1, so i can do transitions and all that. BUT, say i want to record...like the engine sound in NFSU1 or U2...how would i do that? :? like, make a sound file? because i use Fraps 1.9D, so the sound doesnt get recorded, so how do i record sound w/o getting Fraps 2.0?

btw, just so you know...im in the middle of making a movie...
would it be possible for UMP to host it so that people see it? and if they do host it, should i write in the title clip or the credits "UMP Movie Production" or no?

Your not affiliated with UMP so I'd prefer not to have my name or the name of my "company" listed, unless of course you feel like putting "SPECIAL THANKS" or whatever in there, but theres really not anything to thank me for.

I didn't know that 1.9d didn't record sound, that is strange. But the best way i sgoing to be getting a 2.0+ version and just muting out the parts that you don't want sound. I suually end up not including much sound from the game in my video's but it's nice to be able to.
