Hey,

I saw something on the forum, and someone said Juiced isn't gonna be released, but i saw something in a Dutch store:
Juiced Cdr (Cd-rom), Expected on the third of September,
cover:

Maybe it's old news, but since Akklaim is dead, maybe there are some people who don't know...

Greetz,

Old news.

It's because the finance of the game is done by 'Fund 4 Games', and they have the rights. The only thing they need to do is find another publisher.

What does the picture link got to do with the release of Juiced? It's only a picture of a car with a Juiced sticker on the bumper...

Uhh, ofcourse it will. Fund 4 Games has the rights, and they just need to find another publisher. Which shouldn't be difficult with the 'Need for tuning games'.

Hopefully not as good as NFSU2? :?

You obviously buy games for the name.

But still, it's that Juiced is a huge dissapointment for most people.

Because most people want the simple legoracers a la NFSU ;). When boys grow up and want the real thing, they go for Juiced. I've checked IGN boards and the guys that comment there and on other boards. Most can't even spell their own name. 13 and under. I'm 19 and sincerely, Juiced beats the crap out of every other racing game out there. Not only is the graphic (imo) several point above the shiny NFSU one, the control and steering is ... virtually unmatched so far. In NFSU you do what you want - hell, why didn't they implemenet stinger missiles to blow your way through traffic while they were at it? Might as well have James Bond's car in the game! In Juiced, you can't. I understand it's a negative factor for most ... limited kids of 13, who don't have a touch whatsoever and have to buy a new keyboard every month for ruining their arrow keys just by jamming the accelerator, but I expected every more grown up to realize and admit that with Juiced you actually FEEL the car under you. If you don't pay attention you slip. If you slip you crash. If you crash you don't win and have to pay with both respect and money. The game records everything, you only get one shot. If you blow it, you're gone. Unfair? Well ... how fair is it to restart and play the same race over and over again until you win? Like NFSU ...
Juiced passes for a simulation. You NEED to have progressive controls to control your car. I play with my joystick and seldom crash. If I play with arrow keys, I can't control the car. I guess almost everyone played it with arrow keys and all dumped it like a sack of potatoes because ... "Oh I can't control the crappy car! Juiced is all looks and no fun! It's unplayable!"
Uhmm .. what's the matter? Too much horsepower for you? Is a joystick too hard to operate? Or is the change from FWD to RWD and AWD too difficult to adapt to? Or maybe it's the fact that every car handles and feels unique?
I agree. NFSU, you pick it up, install it, and race away with arrows. Forget about progressive steering, it's no use whatsoever and actually hinders you. NFSU: made for keyboard. Juiced, you have to think and take time to get into the game and unlike NFSU, it's not just pick up and go. Specially not with arrow keys ... you can't have progressive steering over arrow keys. Of course it will always result as crappy. I recommend anyone out there to try the game with something else than keyboard and then tell me if it isn't an entirely different game.
