LOL it doesn't take as long as you think . . . just a few hours.

It's only hard if you don't know how to use Flash. It's easy for me because I learn it at school.

Anyway, I've started to use Blender (3D software) and here is my first ever blender model. I know it's not as good as viper_gts's models, but what do you think?

(btw, it's supposed to be a chess piece sitting on a table next to a window)

Geez, tough crowd . . .

What do I have to do to get a comment?

very good mapping and light effects...interesting object i think, every good 3d modeller must know how to build a realistic chessboard: once you can do it I think you already have all the bases to do wonderful models. Am I right bogan?

Ummmm . . . yeah I suppose. I'm still a noob at blender, so hopefully I can use my spare holiday time to get better. And after I've mastered modelling, I can start making 3D animations. :D

btw, thanks for the comment. lol

oh, sweet...animations.
I was trying to make one once, a very simple one, with a ball rebounding all over a box interior, but my poor 1.5GHz pentium said it was too difficult :D
...I'd like to make a good race animation, but Ithink I must buy a new pc for that :?
post your next works

I have created this for fun. The dutch members will know what it means and know the original version off this pic.

@ViperJay: Awesome work man! It looks great. only complaint is that the pieces are a bit fat, but otherwise it's excellent. Keep it up. :D

Just finished a tripod, for school. The 3D-CAD program is SolidWorks 2004. Rendering is done with in-build PhotoWorks release 2.

ViperJay I love your chessboard and the shot angle.

It is true that pieces are a bit fat ;)

I wanted them to be so fat cause they make me laughing, lol :D

OK please don't laugh. I'm kinda new at this 3D lark, but i'm quite proud of the models i did. They're not textured, becuase i'm still getiing to grips with it. Anyway let me know what you think of them. Some useful critisicm woul be nice. :D

That's pretty good mate. It looks like you put in a lot of effort.

The only thing I've got a problem with is the minigun on the second tank.

What prog did you use?
