I need help with HP2

I get this error each time I try play it. I have managed to run it once after 5 days of trying, thent he next day the same thing happened.
Im running P4 2.4Ghz (533FSB)
VIA motherboard with VTX400 Chipset
128mb Ti4200 with 8x agp
Win XP Pro
Latest drivers for everything.
Could somone please help.
Oh yeah i tried lowering my CPU to 1.8GHZ and still got the error.

Maybe it's a virtual memory error.How much virtual memory do you have?

Right-click on My Computer, go to Properties, Advanced, Performance Settings, Advanced, Change. What's your page file size (virtual memory)? Try increasing it. Also, how much RAM do you have?

I have 960MB virtual memory,
I have 512mb ddr333 memory installed
The only file modded is nfshp2.exe replaced with the no-cd patch

Im using my friends cd. He bought it. On his PC it works fine.

Patch was downloaded from kazaa. I just reinstalled it and i get the same prob.

tRY TO UNINSTALL THEN REINSTALL THE GAMEWITH THE FULL VERSION . THAT MAY HELP IF NOT IT MIGHT BE THAT YOU NEED TO DEFRAGMENT
THEN TRY TO RUN.
IF THAT DONT WORK THEN IT MIGHT BE A BAD FILE ON THE CD ITSELF.
i HAVE AN EMACHINE AND NFSHP2 WORKS GOOD ON IT .

Kazaa dowloaded patches SUCK. Do never use them. They are ofte something else, or even worse, a virus. Use a search engine and look for the patches in some web page.

Anyways, there is a copyright rule in the USA now. You colud download cracks. But no full game versions. Or any songs, images, that are copyrighted.
