single race options!

I am getting NFSU 2 for XMAS and am wondering about single race/ multiplayer. one thing i luvd in NFSU 1 was my fun i had from customising cars in single race/multipalyer with friends and racing them outside career. is this possible in NFSu 2? or does all the modding have to be done by driving to a shop to get parts for single races?

you have a few things that you can install in the Main menu for the game. Without being in Career. The more you unlock in Career the more you have to install outside of career. so to answer your question you can mod your car without career mode. But you are limited.
