what programs do all you people use to take such great screenshots?? all i got to work with right now is ms paint

Print screen key + Irfanview + The Gimp

F12 (the default ingame capture button) + Paint Shop Pro 8.

how do you people get all the cool looking backgrounds to go with the cars??

I use the same thing as vellu. Only problem is that my game stopped working and no one helped me out on how to fix it. And now i am left NFSU2less.

Some editting softwares like Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop of course.

And... too much 'cropping skills'

I use a programm called "grabclipsave" -its freeware and can save the pics in custom jpeg quality with the name of the app where is used with (like: NFSScreen001.jpg)
in the folder you tell it to (like Desktop, or C:\ )it grabs the pics automaticly when data is in the windows clipboard and you dont have to task the game every time a shot is grabbed, but grab 100 (or 1000 ) pics, and then select it with the paint-app you use (btw: i use PS7 + AlienSkix Xenofex - it has some cool effects, like lightning or flag, or cripple or even ( ) television )

i use flash fireworks mx 2004 and photoshop there good cause layers

With digital camera

when I use the F12 key it saves the screenshot as a .TGA file. I can't figure out how to change it to JPEG for it to upload. Any help will be gladly welcomed.. (yes I'm a noob..)

instead of pressing F12, go over one key and push Print Scrn. then go into microsoft paint or whatever program you use and go to edit and paste. after that save it as jpeg. hope that helps.

to find some pretty backgrounds just go to images.google.com and try searching some of these keywords:
background
1024x768
1280x1024
1280x960
1600x1200
or go to advanced, set the large images and write what r u looking for, for example:
dark backrgound
nature
seaside
garage
etc.

for converting PSD or TGA files to JPG is good IrfanView. i am taking screenshots with F12 and i am not using MS Paint for anything

how can i make reflections of cars in photoshop?
