Little trick: coloring aluminium spoilers

ok, i found this one out while i was making my futuristic eclipse (click).
as you can see the aluminium spoiler is black and you can't paint it. so if you want to paint your aluminum spoiler follow these steps:

1.) use a plastic spoiler (borra for example)

2.) paint it in any color you want (black in my example to get more contrasted car)
Image

3.) change your spoiler to aluminium and you're done!

The Aluminium GT spoiler can't be painted (damn!)

jemc just has told us the secret to paint it. Thx!!!!!!! (Now I can paint my 350z wing and upload it!!!)

The tip is very close to the nfsu1 extra rims 'cheat' :D

Yup, I've been doin' this for a while to get the tips of the aluminum wings the right color. Body-color tips on a red RX-8 just looks terrible.

it's not about the metalic shine  . it's about how you can trick EA and paint metalic spoilers

I also like the shine of the metallic, but tricking EA is better.
