Last generation of fossil powered vehicle user

seems that the petroleum will soon be depleted, (1)Are we the last generation of fossil powered vehicle user ? (2)After that where will all the fossil powered car gone to? (if you can have 1 and the only 1 as a rememberance what car could it be?) (3)Is the new power source vehicle can produce such "fun" on petrol car ?

i really like to know what you guys/girls think about. i know that without petroleum car, the air will be more clean, less polution, but......you know.

subsitute of petroleum:
LPG (i think this will come first)
hydrogen fuel cell
electric motor (most probably the solution)

(1)i personally think that we are the last or perhaps second last generation of it

(2)they all going to museum, personal garage i would pick a DeLorean, i know its not a performance car but i think it would be cool, back to the future, back to the starting of fossil powered car's golden age 80s.

(3)it wouldn't be that much fun, no more force induction to play with (its all electric motor)

I need a secrect undetectable car storing garage here quick! .... one problem... how am I supposed to get one with no money and without attracting attention of my intentions?

Im gonna need every aftermarket part I can get so I dont get bored with my olden day cars.

Dont worry. I dont see anyone being mean enough to do that.

yeah Stig LPG is somewhat liquid petroluem gas if i am not mistaken
but i bet the injection system will be different, somehow i read a magazine before, it states that LPG only produce around 80% of petrol (gasolin) energy in the combustion chamber.

my mistake by puting the word petroleum, suppose is gasoline or equivalent
some what use in internal combustion engine. Thanks Stig, for correcting me.

dictionary.com
Gasoline:
A volatile mixture of flammable liquid hydrocarbons derived chiefly from crude petroleum and used principally as a fuel for internal-combustion engines.

I don't know why you guys are so worried . . . you can just convert your car to run on hydrogen

BMW have already made and internal combustion engine that runs on hydrogen. It doesn't have quite as much power as a petrol engine, but it's better than nothing.

MarlboroMan: LPG is a fossil fuel, as Stig said, its a by-product of a fossil fuel... so it wont be around after this fossilfuel age.

the non fossil fuel sources are currently:

the earth (proviging gravitational forces and nuclear fuels)
the sun (providing wind, rain, water waves, direcr irradiation, etc etc etc...)

oh and BTW, i chose EU cars, im patriotic :D

You cant kill cars if they do i am hiding mine so that they cant find the thing and then i will take it out at night and race round the streets with the cops after me in their elec powerd cars and they will never catch me cos they dont have the power in their cars.

And they will eventually catch you because you run out of fuel.

Do the math, converting the world's economy completely from gas to hydrogen using electrolysis would need nearly double the power output capacity we have today. Not gonna happen. You CAN, however, convert a diesel engine to run on soybean oil, which is IMO the direction the direction cars are heading (or even just synthesize oil by crushing organic waste).

And I'd buy myself a lead sled 60's Cadillac hearse. Something to scare the crap out of old people and drown out the annoying buzz of all the electric and low-emission cars when I come along rumbling like a volcano.

fossil powered vehicle don't make a (any) good sound, so I want an Exotic in my garage (Ferrari, just because of the great sound they make) :D

A Do-Luck/HKS Nissan 350z with NX nitrous system 8)

I would keep it in my garage, along with a big amount of petrol :D

I don't think fossil fuel will left so soon...there is enough to go on a lot again, and there's too much politic power behind it.
we would already have good alternative motors types, but because of this they say that "the research is not complete"...shiznit!!!
there are already full tested Hydrogen-motors, but they CAN'T give it to us...
I'm not speaking just because I think so, I've gone for some prove...even if I thought it was just my imagination
btw, at the present day, I would prefer alternative fuel, such as gas (...ecosystem thanks us :P )

Hell, I'll make my own hydrogen if I have to

DOH! Why didnt I think of that.
I hope they make internal comustion engines that roar like a V8 or whooosh like a BOV.
I hope the world dos'nt turn boring.
I hope.
I hope.
I hope...

If thats the case, time to hide my FD...
I don't want to lose my FD... heh.

But seriously electric cars means the death of the ricers, no more revving heh, revving an electric doesn't sound too cool.

Besides, you can go methanol and start making your own fuel by brewing at home, heh.
Been a lot smuggling booze in Norway lately containing Methanol...
I want Methanol in my engine, not in my mouth ;)
