Cheaters: bug-tuning?!?! Did anyone know this :o

I was checking out the NFSU2 World Records project site and saw a newsitem: Racing Tips. I found
this article. It is about how u can
use a bug in the game to get maximum Kw and Nm when u tune ur ECU and Turbo on the dyno
Done a search on this forum but found nothing. Am I the last to know or didn't u guys know either??? Anyways I think u should know, mayb next time u get lapped on ur favourite track, u should consider this option in stead of doubt ur own setup/driving style...
I think it's disquisting. Sick that ppl go this far to get their wins. Pathetic... What do u think? I know I was feaking out when I read it at first.

Well, I kinda 'feaked' out when i read your 'disquisting' post.. j/k
My feelng is if it's in the game, then it's fair game. Once you start using trainers and other hacked cheats, then you've overstepped the mark.

I guess no matter what they do, I have taken the cars to their ultimate limit (Gearbox puts the limit)
And beyond that is impossible, but I will keep this in mind...
I will hate it if I have to tune it like that just to keep up...
But a bug is a bug and EA is known to not fix them.

ive known about this for a while, but there is relatively no change in performance.... u cant tell the difference... it doesnt make ur car any faster, plus it takes hours to do....

Hmm...I might have to try this out for myself to see if this really works.

I won't try this on my Carbon Fiber Corsa - if that beggar gets any faster, it'll need a couple of elephants in the boot just to keep it on the ground!

yea, I was freakin out dude, have to admit

But I'm ok by now... I was under the impression, since we didn't have the unique(tj)-shyt in NFSU2, that we were going to race clean. Guess this is just the first of all cheats to come, if it DOES work at all... Don't know if it will make ur car go any faster, I refuse to try it out, cuz it's lame
And why I think it's a cheat: I can't find this button <img src="
http://forum.nfsunlimited.net/files/yes_cheat.gif" align="absmiddle"> anywhere lol. (sry couldn't resist

Oh you don't have that in the PC version? It's there on Xbox..

Nah, we have a button that says: "Click here to install Eddie engine"
In other words, NFSU 1 l33t cheating engine that you have no chance of outrunning

So if you hear an engine sound that ressembles "Cheat cheat cheat" you know it is the Eddie engine and a PC user

ROFL! Oh well, maybe if this had some effect, perhaps it could be a weapon against the engine stalling bug in NFSU 2 drifting?

hey get up from the floor lol, mayb a
patch comin? This admin guy posted a
similar post on their site about a NFSU2 online wishlist (
this is ours)... Do our admins know what's in the patch?
Prolly won't fix it, but won't harm to try it
And btw: the "stalling engine in drifting"? Which is?

Isn't stalling the engine in drifting putting it in neutral when drfitng? I heard a while ago that was stalling, correct me if I'm wrong.

Erm dunno, I never compete in drifting, but what good would that do, putting it in neutral. Isn't that the same as letting go of the gas?

I think letting off the gas slows the car down more, cause your aren't coasting. But, when in neutral, you coast. But I'm still not 100% sure what stalling the engine means.

What a shame that option is only in the Dutch Gamecube version. Could do with that in the UK PC version. Still, I expect someone will make a patch...

Just curious: can u tell by the stats (Acceleration, Top Speed and Handling) from "View car" in an online race if someone has a bugtuned car? I mean, here's an example, it's an animated gif (1 sec) so give it time. Watch the stats at the bottom from my car (matrix goldcode

) and the other dude's car. Is my car
that crappily tuned or....? The other car has from everything a little more. But he's got handling too, so I dunno. Well tuned car or bugtuned...?
Some1 who has not bugtuned and considers his car well tuned: are those stats possible??? The screendump is 1024 x 768 resized to 500 x 375, so mayb u can compare it at the same size...
Again: just curious if u can tell a bugtuned car apart from a non-bugtuned car

There is a 3rd car included now (see attachment), mine is the matrix goldcode car. Check the stats on especially the black car: it has Acceleration + Top Speed maxed out!?! So to anyone who hasn't turbo-bugtuned their car, but thinks their car is fairly well-tuned: can u pls check ur online ranked car and see if ur stats are maxed out as well? That way I / we can determine if a car is bugtuned by looking at those stats... cmon u guys, just want to know if maxed-out stats on an online ranked Corolla are possible?
