File's from nfsu2 you can open with bintex

Trackmap4000.bin t/m Trackmap4901.bin Track Maps
GlobaltexturesROW.bin Sponsor 1
GlobaltexturesNA.bin Sponsor 2
HUD_CustomTextures_ALL.bin Gauges
Showroom.bin ????
Elaborare.bin ????

Everything can be exported and imported so i think you can customize the gauges but i have to test that first. And i'll let you guys know if can find more.

EDIT: Ok people you CAN customize your own hud proof is in the attachement (take a look at it it says DoR in it)

EDIT2: This is only in customize screen i am still figuring out wich file's are for ingame i'll let you guys know when i got it.

EDIT: I found the place for the ingame texture but when i try to open them i get a "Runtime 7 error" Does someone know what that is, so i can fix it.

I made some progress. With the original BinTex i got a Error 9 and the program closed. Now with my own edited version i got Error 7 or 8 depends on the file and the program isn't closed. I'll let you guys know when i don't get any errors.

whats wrong whit the files, do you know what causes the errors, do you know what those errors mean?? just asking dont get mad :?

we won't get mad... :P

Basically, BinTex, the program that's used to open .BIN files was created for NFSU1. NFSU2 is encoded differently to NFSU1 so the files cannot be opened with this program.

We are trying to find the correct code so we can open the .BIN files.... and FINALLY, edit NFSU2

same way we're trying to crack NFSU2. people sat up night and day with not other ambition in life, burgers in hands, pillows on chairs and worked 24/7 until The .BIN file was cracked.....

I don't think you can fix it i have been at it for weeks. But i already have a friend off mine taking a crack at it, he is much better in programming stuff then me so i'll let you know if he can't do it. But if he can't do it, i am afraid that no one can untill ea gives us the code for cracking this thing.

Hey guys, it's been a while since the release of NFSU2, and i'm still waiting for someone to crack the code to let us start editing.........Does anyone know if Arushan has started/given up? Also, would it not be possible to try and look at some other EA games and see if the compression is the same method? Maybe some people have already cracked the same format without knowing it is used in NFSU2. Then again, maybe NFSU2 is unique!

I've been away from this site for a very long time now (being a student, I have many exams to study for!) , i used to make vinyls and neon a while ago, i also made a garage mod for NFSU, has anyone been able to edit the game further than I did with that because i would be very interested to know how it was done!

Anyway, it's good to see that some people are trying to crack NFSU2, think i'll find my cd's and have a look...........
Good luck!
