Why does everyone say that? The 1st generation maybe, but definately not the 2nd. They got rid of the smooth elegant lines in the 3rd gen, made it look too much like the RX-8. And if Miata's are such girl cars, why does Mazda have an entire racing league devoted to them? Not to mention the MazdaSpeed version, those are pretty badass.

hmmmm i was only posting my personal opinion...

1st is ghetto, second is sporty with nice curves, 3rd is more flat and has more parts like the Rx-8, which is not good since l prefer cars to be more distinct.

Where is the "None, because they all look gay." option? I dont like miatas and dont think I ever will. You can slap as many bodykits on it as you want, It just lacks the Strong look. Maybe cause its so small I guess... IMO, it looks like a lame car...

It's got too many soft curves, it doesn't look that aggressive. Maybe more suited to the female audience.....

I like the second one, the third is not bad, but I just don't like the headlights

It's just my own opinion.

The first one's cool, the second one's a hacked-together bunch of noise, the third one's ok.

the 3rd gen looks weird.. I don't like the bumper/headlight mix

agree ^
I overall hate the miata, but i have my say in what looks better or not. the 2nd gen looks way better than both 1st and 3rd gen.

That's very true. However, no RWD car can really be girly because girls are going to be afraid that it'l be bad in the snow or something.

I dig the first generation Miata the most. It's the most simple, just the best looking. The second generation is ok, and the third has potential, although it's got too many unharmonious lines. Still, they'd all be a blast to drive (and, screw the complains "feminine" looks, are you all uncomfortable in your sexuality?).

They say driving a big truck means your compensating for something. So what does it mean when you drive a smal 'girly' car?

Although it's not as visually astounding as the 2nd generation, it's performance definately makes up for it. The engine and gearbox have been moved back more than 6 inches to achieve perfect 50/50 balance to eliminate over/understeer. Larger brakes rotors, 5 link rear suspension, and wider wheels also account for the improved handling.
Removing the spare tire from the trunk has added more trunk space and in addition using lightweight materials and high tensile steel have lessened the weight of the car by 44 lbs, but the longer wheel-base, wider track, and larger brake rotors have added an unfortunate overall weight of 22 lbs. But with all the technogical advances, the overall weight of the car is rather impressive.
The new Mazda MZR-generation 2.0-liter 16-valve inline-4 creates an stonishing 160bhp at 6,700rpm and a whopping 139lb ft at 5,000rpm plus the Mazda-designed 6-speed transmiision.
