NFSU2 is CTD'ing

I have updated all my drivers etc turned of programs like alcohol 120%, still cant get the game to run, its patched to the latest one from EA, so all i do is double click on the shortcut then the small splash screen works then the screen goes black then it crashes back to desk top, any help would be greatly appeciated

On my FX 5200 Ultra, if I use the latest driver release the game will crash to desktop after displaying the first splash... before the "Challenge Everything". Downgrade the driver... I believe 71.89 and under are ok. The one included with Battlefield 2 caused this problem for me... I think its the latest release.

I'm going to guess that this problem only affects the FX series GeForce's. I don't believe anyone with a 6 series GeForce has suffered.

Thanks the roll back worked, thought it was that but didnt want to do it without confirmation that it was that
