Well what about an F40 that was optioned with the factory performace upgrade, which adds things like fatter cams and bigger turbos, resulting in 670hp?James31278 wrote:As I stated the 800+hp Skyline kills the F40 case closed. The Blitz Skyline R348 kills the F40 as well.Grez~Supra_RZ-S wrote:Performance wise, I already stated the figures, and the F40 is faster.
The class B Rally cars - the fastest ones to date - were all RWD.
I'd like to see the Skyline beat that.

wtf . . . an F40 weighs 2600-2700 pounds. On your calculator that equals 9.7-9.8 seconds.bashderq wrote:just 4 interests sake -
F40 670hp - 10.1sec
Anyway, I think that we have now CLEARLY established that F40 > 800hp Skyline.
And btw, chucking out the seat wouldn't do much, becauses it's made of carbon fibre

We clearly established that no matter what facts I present you still believe the ferrari wins even when the skyline out horsepowers it. You've made it very clear you live in fantasy land. So drop it.boganbusman wrote:wtf . . . an F40 weighs 2600-2700 pounds. On your calculator that equals 9.7-9.8 seconds.bashderq wrote:just 4 interests sake -

RX-7 for me here... It has something I have never seen or heard in any other car.
The abillity to rev so freely, and the engine sound... It suits my tastes perfectly plus it has a reasonably good cornering performance, may not be the best anymore but still is damn good.
But I guess if you put a rotary in an Elise I would probably take that, it is the powerplant that matters the most to me.

However the Shockwave jet truck does do like 300+mph. Of course it has 36,000hp. A truck that powerful would have a jet engine, the 2000hp I mean. a 2000hp truck might beat a 1000hp car. Most of those 1000hp tuners reach 200. Ford GT would murder the Ferrari F40, it murders it anyway. American power. I'm not worried about the Skyline, which do you think people are gonna like more the F40 or Skyline. Skyline obviously. Easy to lighten up the Skyline.boganbusman wrote:You imbecile.James31278 wrote:you still believe the ferrari wins even when the skyline out horsepowers it.
That's like saying that a 2000hp semi would beat a 1000hp sedan.

LOL Grez
The skyline would cease to become a skyline if you tried to cut the weight down that much. F40s are carbon fibre. The body is lighter, the drivetrain is lighter, the engine is lighter. Unless you built and entire bespoke body and chassis, the F40 will always be lighte .
Any anyway, modding a Skyline up to 800HP would sort of mean it ceased to be a skyline...just a big bespoke engine and chassis with an improvised skyline bodykit.
You could stick a Porsche 924 shell on a VW Corrado (same chassis...or is that the 914?) but it wouldnt mean you were driving a Porsche...
