I'm not kidding, I just like to be able to listen to my music in full quality. None of that 128kbps crap.

i can convert all my music to cd quality and put it on my ipod, it would just take up a ton of space, still 2 gb worth of cd quality music is better than 700 mb worth

Apple iPods and some other mp3 players support lossless codecs, which are an exact reproduction of a CD without the silent bits (which aren't needed) ...
So on an 80 GB iPod Nano for example, you could fit approximately 200 CDs in a lossless format.
200 CDs in something 1/4 the size of your CD player > your CD player

I use 192kbps. Didn't notice a single difference between that and 320kbps.

I certainly can. Anything below 256kbps is unbearable, but I still prefer lossless (~1,000kbps).

What's BS about being able to pick bad sound quailty?
I agree, anything below 256 is getting bad. 192 is my limit. However I can't pick any difference between 320 and lossless; not mith my speakers anyway.

Most of my music on my Gigabeat is either 192 or 320. I cant tell the difference, but i am using sony headphones. I use my cell phone now more than my mp3 player...lol

Truly.. You cant hear the difference in bitrate below 192. Its all about how your speakers interperate the sound. Some sound better than others... some dont sound good at all.

I never said I could tell the difference between Lossless and, say 320+, I just said that I prefer lossless.

Is there any program that converts songs up to a higher quality, or does it have to be made high quality?
