YES! How to get Free Roam in quick race mode in 3 easy steps

Maybe an admin wants to sticky this?

Step 1:
Load the sprint track "Boundary & Marina". If you just got the game, it may not be unlocked yet, so just hold your horses  .

Step 2:
Start the race and drive until you get here:

Step 3:

Mind you, there are some limitations. For instance, do not cross the 'race' portion of the track or you'll have to find the way out again. Also, the map doesn't extend throughout the whole area, as you can see in the step 3 screen, so you better be good at finding your way!
Happy Roaming and Happy Thanksgiving! 8)

Very cool... I still wish that they had included a mode... but this will have to do.
Can anyone who has beaten the game confirm for me that you cannot use your non-career cars in career onces 100% complete? Cuz that would be cool.

but there is still time limit right?..once the screen starts flashing...and u can only run around at the same place..so it isn't free roam..

PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE PICTURES!

You can go around the whole map, and I don't know about any time limit. As you can see, I was up to 8 minutes in the last picture, plus, you can always just restart the 'race.'

So, yeah, I would call it free roam.

i found a problem, well not exactly a prob, but anyway, so i was just free roamin to myself and i didnt see the yellow wall things and i went through the outside allowing me back in the race, so then i had to go all the way back and find shortcut/exit!

I have an alternate, perhaps easier way to get freeroam in Single Player.

1. Select the VERY FIRST sprint race track. Launch the race.
2. Don't race with the opponent! Instead go the other way.

Now you can free roam. And similar to the aforementioned method, the mini-map to show where you are won't be fully loaded.

Man, MW is buggy!

Lol

Yeah in U2 online for ps2 there was this glitch on Smokestack where you used your hydros and you fly on top of a bridge and you and 3 other racers can freeroam the whole map-with the map showing where your going.

Free Roam is in Career mode isn't it?

Posted: 30 Nov 2005, 18:36
by Andre_online
Yes, but not available outside Career like we used to have in NFSU2. :)

Why would you wanna to enter free roam and just drive around.
In U2 that had a point coz you could race with other guys.
But here you can just drive or Race against "Casper the good ghost".
