You've never heard "Save Me". Its not metal/screamo stuff. Unless you have no idea of the how rock genere's sound.

Greenday isn't rock it's a crappy band that doesn't deserve the genre name rock, same goes for simple plan. You can put the genre mainstream crap to those 2 bands. And POD is rock but on the soft side. So maybe listen to some more stuff, to know what is real rock and what is crap ;)

Most of all of those are examples of Christian/Inspirational Rock.

Emery is emo. As in emotional. Emotional music isn't really Christian.
Switchfoot is rock.
Demon Hunter is metal.
As Cities Burn is screamo/metal.

I made sure not to post ones that are Inspirational rock music.

@Jopuma, all the bands you post are Christian rock bands. Don't get offended or anything, but don't your parents aprove that you listen to other rockbands aswell? I know your parents are kinda strict you told me that in the past.

Actually they prefer I stick to Christian, but that doesn't stop me from hearing stuff like Celldweller on NFS:MW or Disturbed.

Btw that song from Celldweller that featured SOB or whatever their name is is an awesome song. My fav from the soundtrack of NFS:MW.

although most of the music i listen to is labled christian rock, i dont think its very fair. Just becasue they dont sing about sex, drugs, and "ho's", i dont think it should be labeled christian....

for example...here is the lyrics to a song by underoath, who is labeled as a christian rock band....

The song is called "Act of Depression".....now you tell me if you can figure out what its about, and tell me if its christian

I tried to cry out from the inside, but I guess my soul did not pour itself out enough
Blood on the walls, flaming black, blood on the walls,
I saw you staring through the cracks
No one was to know what was happening in me I felt no love,
I felt no reason to carry on with my life
Everything was wrong, nothing was right, at least that is what I thought
Kids finding laughter at my expense
They were killing me on the inside they couldn't give up their pride
My heart was bleeding from so much grieving
On the outside I looked fine, you couldn't tell but on the inside was eternal hell
I got caught up in the moment of depression,
and before I knew it my bodywas lying on the ground
With a gun in my hand my hourglass was out of sand
Thanks to all the people who drove me to death
Without you I could of never ended my breath
Through your anger and hate, I was able to choose my fate
There was a way out, but I chose the easy route
Blast of a gun, breath runs out, final thoughts put to extinction
No more pain, no more love, for you have chosen suicide as the way out... help them
Ice cold fingers, body lays on the floor,
pool of blood you see, you scream out in terror
Her body is now a part of mutilation, her soul the victim of strangulation
I will not accept this evil anymore
I never thought of who I hurt or I never tried to look for the good
I'm sorry for whoever I hurt, it's not easy to look back on my life,
and know I did not know Christ
For now I live in a real hell
I wish I had another chance... then I would live my life with love

i guess i can see the connection somewhere...although this is a great song reguardless!

They talk about knowing Christ, isn't that more than enough proof? Granted, it's dark, but the message I'm interpreting (and I'll admit that I'm not sitting back to think too much) is that the person was depressed, commited suicide, and now regrets not being religous (or Christian).

I actually don't listen to Kayne West. Or have ever heard of him. Mostly the stuff I listen to isn't acoustic stuff.

I don't know how many times I have to say this, but here it goes yet again. I DO NOT HAVE CABLE OR SATELLITE TV. Which would mean I don't get MTV. Even when I did have it I never liked watching it.

And explain to me, the both of you...... what does Kayne West have to do with rock, unless rap is now counted as being rock (major sarcasm, if you couln't tell)

This is the rock thread, not rap.....

anyway, back on-topic I go

It's pretty obviosu that I am obsessed with any '80s, '90s, and even '00s rock music
