Really liking the storyline so far. I wonder too what the blue arcs were. In 2F2F, the cops shot an electrical jammer, not pure arcs of electricity. And it was Hollywood magic anyway. So maybe this is some more Hollywood magic?

Looks like the Audi R8 may be the final boss car. Maybe you'll have to battle your friend in the last canyon duel and you'll get his car.

So Cross is a bounty hunter, right? He got paid the amount for the bounty. So does that mean he's out of the picture already? That would suck.

I love the acting btw. Darius is so far the best. "I'm the monkey!"

In the movie, that wasn't Hollywood magic. In areas where street racing is very common, cops to shoot darts with electrical impulses. Of course the guns don't look like what they looked like in the movie but stopping racers by shortcircuiting their cars is real.

I do agree the way EA did it in the video. It looks like some unusual, beyond the grave force. What is this, a science fiction story or a cheesy EA action story?

Would be really fun to do that in Multiplayer, shoot at people with one of those.

EDIT : The story from where I understand it :

You were racing with some people, ur friends lent u the car for the race and then the cops came...and then ur friends let u take the car and run away with some money from the girls bag (never returing the car, doesn't say what happens to the car). (my guess that those electric things are actually real, we haven't seen them, also my guess is that those electric things came out atleast 10 years ago) after rockport u came back and Cross (the bounty hunter, *giggle*) followed u and smacked u, then those other people came and saved your bumbum (lol) thats why the guy said "I saved ur A*S 2 times, u gotta return the favour" and then the girl lets u pick the car... THE END

I didn't mean that the electrical dart was movie magic. I simply meant that the blue electrical effect that ran down the wire was movie magic.

Not sure...I haven't ever seen decals on the hood, only the windows and beside the back wheel or on the side, In my area i see a few tuned freaks running around. Once i saw a guy with NOS meter in the car and it was full, i wonder what he was gonna do, charge out against the traffic jam...

that would get people moving

EDIT: There is no way Cross is out yet, he wanted to keep his job...PAY BACK TIME FOR CROSS, I'd really like to see him succeed...NOT (Cross is so crap that he can't even drive)

Gran Turismo doesn't have cops shooting electrical impulses at you. So don't talk to me about realism, when we weren't discussing about car handling realism, which is what Gran Turismo is geared towards...

Gran Turismo doesn't have it because it's not real, which is exactly my point. I'm fed up with people wishing NFS was realistic when it's plainly and clearly a fantasy from the bottom up, into which such a cop 'weapon' fits perfectly. You're playing a kid's game, just like me. Get over it.

I agree NFS is not a realistic game but then, I guess next time, EA should stop licensing cars so we can have fantasy ones...
