Police Chase and Highway Drag Race Video

There's a new video up on 1UP's Gamevideos featuring one the missions where the player has to steal a brand new cop Nissan GT-R from the police headquarters. It shows the actual gameplay so it's well worth to watch.

Does the new game handle like prostreet or most wanted? Most cars in prostreet handle like bricks, I mean not arcade, but nothing like real simulation either. I like GTR2 and TDU, proper physics, I can live with the most wanted physics model, at least let us have some fun if they don't want to be serious on the physics. Can you turn off the damage model in the game? How free is free roaming? Does the game have off-road cars like Land Rover?

I can answer about car handling - the handling is nowhere near prostreet's. Cars feel much lighter and go easier through corners. There's also the heroic driving model which makes it easy to use the handbrake (for 180 turns) and the speedbreaker which is especially useful for 90 degree turns.

No idea about the Mazdas. But everything else comes either from personal experience (played the game back in August), or from EA directly.

lol the guy on the 2nd video hit like hundred times and he was not totaled,lol
and i noticed that the engine of the m3 is sounding like carbon's GTR,instead like pro streets where it was real!!!

Haha! So did I. But it took me quite a number of tries before I managed to evade him though. The traffic was a major mess.

Ok the highway drag race looks hard the driver sucks luckly there isnt real life totals because he would be out of there lol

the only thing i have a problem with in the cop chases are when you disable a vehicle that s**t green/lime writing comes up across the entire screen it would weewee me of having to look at that all the time
And still no customization vids im still waiting

In my opinion Forza 2 has the best and most accurate sounds of any car game besides the bov and wastegates. GT5 Prologue isnt too bad either...

NFSU2 was when they had the car engine notes perfect. since then they've gone downhill...except for the rx7 in prostreet that sounds amazing but again something about prostreet, the sounds themselves are good, but when actually going thru the gears wen u upshift or downshift it just didn't sound right and dont get me started on the blow off valves and wastegates loll. the best sounding turbo related sounds ive heard are on 'battle gear 4 tuned edition', an arade drifting game, but incredibly fun.

The sounds in FM2 are good but could be better, Lamborghini's aren't very accurate.

IMO NFS MW had very good sounds, NFS U2 was good also, not always accurate but the cars did sound cool.

bojan in free roam whats the traffic like? is it heavy or is the traffic like most wanted ? and whats it like to get busted by the cops?

When I played free roam, there wasn't any traffic around, so I can't really say.
