What car do you drive ?
Re: What car do you drive ?
Pix or it didn't happen.
Re: What car do you drive ?
My new riiide... a Toyota Sera I picked it up only yesterday, and gave it a nice gloss and polish last night. The interior desperately needs a shampoo, and the exterior needs a complete repaint, but otherwise it's in pretty good condition. I'm really stoked about it! I was lucky to get it, too. I came in just at the right time, only a few minutes before someone else wanted to buy it.
I never thought I would enjoy driving an Automatic. But this, with its low ride, glass roof and nimble-ness... feels a bit like driving a Go-Kart. It feels very special. I can always convert it to a Manual later on, as manual Starlet parts are not too difficult to come across.

Re: What car do you drive ?
lolwtf, I can't believe you actually went and bought one! That's madness
At least you found a good home for that 3S-GTE. If you know what I mean. Oh yeah.

lol, Will do. Straight after I took the picture of the front, it started pouring with rain. I'll update on this thread later.Murcie_LP640 wrote:Needs more pics of gullwings. Kaygo.
The doors are actually Butterfly doors (open up and forwards), while gullwing doors (like on the 300SL) lift directly upwards.
Haha, yeah... I can't believe it either.boganbusman wrote:lolwtf, I can't believe you actually went and bought one! That's madness

Putting that 3S-GTE into the car sounds interesting. And suicidal!
Apparently you can fit Seras with tuned 300bhp Starlet GT engines.

Nice mate,
looking good, only once seen one in real life. they look like fun cars.
In deed you could trow in a Glanza engine with a manual, should be a pretty easy swap.

Here's a picture of my ride. It's actually navy blue, this picture makes it look black. Just got the windows tinted and a nice car wash and replaced tires with new Michelins. 15% tint on the rear sides and 35% tint on the rear windshield.
I only got around to taking a good picture of it today

Re: What car do you drive ?
Loooooong time since I've been on...too busy with other stuff for need for speed or cars really . I have this little gem now tho.
Cost £155 with MOT and road Tax, only issue being a blown head gasket. Engine started life as a 2.3 low pressure turbo putting out around 170bhp at 5-6PSI, and is now remapped to stage one so is now around the 240bhp mark at 15PSI. Next plans are 3" downpipe and exhaust system and stage 3 map to take it up to 290-300bhp.

Sweet.
I like Saabs.
My dad used to have Saab after Saab, mostly turbos, until his back got so bad he can't really crouch much into normal cars.
So now he drives a shiznit Ford Focus C-Max

Re: What car do you drive ?
Nice Saab. Saabs rock.
Here's a better picture of my Sera, after my first country roadtrip in the car.
In other news, I sold my lovely 7th generation Celica a couple of weeks ago. It was a very sad day, but I'm just really glad it went to a good owner. At the very least I can now afford to fix-up my 4th gen Celica and Sera. The Sera is going to the paint shop this Saturday for a complete body fix and respray (in a new colour!). I'll post pictures back here in about 6 weeks.

Re: What car do you drive ?
Took this pic last weekend.
'00 Celica GT-S 6-speed with an 03-05 front bumper. Aside from a short shifter and a few minor exterior changes, it's completely stock.
Next spring will be my 10 year anniversary since I bought it second hand. Last summer I rolled over 200K miles. My Celica has been a dedicated daily driver for the past decade with no major mechanical problems.
I also have an '86 AW11 with a 4A-GZE swap that does not run. Might get some pics later, it's in pretty bad shape considering it hasn't moved for the past 5 years.

Awesome dude, I have an AW11 as well! Actually two at the moment. An '88 4A-GTE and an '84 4A-GE automatic. Just got rid of an '87 because the engine blew up
Happy to offer advice if you need it. Show us some pics

Re: What car do you drive ?
So what happened to teh ST34LTH? You probably told me already but I can't remember. It's been too long...
Re: What car do you drive ?
Nah I didn't tell you coz I only just sold it - traded the Skyline and the ute on this about 3 weeks ago now. I half expect the Skyline is already wrapped around a tree somewhere with a dead 17yo at the wheel

u wot m8!!
Anyway why a 300C, GT? Those drive like boats more than cars from what I've seen.
Re: What car do you drive ?
Actually it's far, far from boatlike handling, you'd be surprised. It has power to spare, all luxuries, auto.. that's what I need these days since I spend most of my driving time in traffic.
I really like the road presence of the 300C, especially the SRT8, and always have. In the back of my mind I was always gonna get one, but they were always too expensive until now.
Plus I'm getting too old for the JDM scene and all the unwanted attention that brings from the po-po.
