NFS 12 Car Wishlist

Post by Atominist »

This might be a bit too soon, but here goes...

Mosler MT900R
1970 Plymouth Superbird
Mercedes Benz 560 AMG
BMW 850
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Maserati MC12

And, don't laugh, a Mk3 Ford Capri. I said don't laugh, if ProStreet had an Escort, why not have a Capri.

Ford Capri 2.8i or 280 Special/Brooklands/Turbo would be awesome. I too love that car - my parents owned about 6 Capris over the years!

I'd also like to see the GM equivalent (which I used to own - god I miss that car!): Opel Manta.

Add to that:

SEAT Leon Cupra R Mk I - before it lost its looks and became the MK II Cupra (as in ProStreet).

Vauxhall Calibra (because I own one now - and it's a much better car than people give it credit for. I had a Mini Cooper S and VW Golf V5 in the "Traffic Light Grand Prix" a little while ago 8) )

Bugatti Veyron (without having to pay extra to download  )

Caparo T1

Ariel Atom

Jaguar E Type

Triumph Stag

And that'll do for now!

Downloaded the saved game with the supercars, but something went wrong in that none of the cars available to me... guess I must have effed up somewhere

Still, Powerof1000 has since put us on the right track! Why can't EA just include everything to start with

Oh yeah I forgot - they are forever in search of the mighty dollar - perhaps they ought to be renamed €A

Nissan Skyline R32
Nissan Pulsar
BMW M5
BMW M3 E36
Acura NSX (no cheats)
TVR Segaris
Vauxhall Astra VXR
Toyota Celica
Mini Gp
Audi RS4 (no cheats)
Audi RS5
Mitsubishi Evo 8

am a tuner man and i think no one would buy a lambo LP640 or a Zonda F and put it in a street race (they should take them out of the game)

How do you unlock these new cars? I completed the game 96% and dominated all race days and beat ryo a long time ago, but after installing the patch, the previous bonus cars (honda nsx, audi rs4 etc.) disappeared and only the seat is added to the car lot, where and how do you unlock the new cars?!

I've thought of some more...

Marcos Mantis
Maserati GranTurismo
Opel Manta (good for drifting)
Toyota Soarer

Why can't we just have every car ever made?

That's a good Idea, every car ever made, even the most useless and horrible looking things on earth, that will only cost like 10 DVD's just to get all the cars cause there are alot of diffirent cars build since the start of carmaking.

It's a racing game, not a car encyclopedia

lol the term street racing is representing the fact of buying a low classed car in performance and tuning it to maximise performance etc.

street racing is what made underground series popular (freeroam to be specific) pro street is cool dont get me wrong

The funny thing I don't get is.. why buy a crappy low-budget car and spend twice, if not three times as much on upgrading the shiznit out of it and shortening its lifespan considerably - overclocking anything to run at speeds they are not meant to run at, increases 'friction' and wears them down much faster than normal - when you can buy a car that has the same performance stock (and is thus MEANT to run like that), looks nicer and costs the same as the crappy tuner? I don't know.. I just never understood it..

I'm not so sure - a Fabia VRS or Octavia VRS could be fun :P

Or that Lada Riva that was on Top Gear that was tuned by Lotus - might surprise a few ricers

Maybe it's because some people love tuners and don't want to see the exotics hogging the spotlight? Because it's been all about the concepts and exotics until U1 showed up.

You know what, considering that there are now arguments starting about which cars should be in/out, why don't they scrap NFS altogether considering they're running out of ideas?

If there was another NFS, find someone who has a Lambo Reventon, which will whip the @$$es of any tuners. Or better yet, chuck some sportsbikes in there to mix things up a bit and STILL whip the @$$es of all the tuners. My point is, anything bikes or exotics can beat a fully-tuned tuner, although I have to say the dudes in UAE who did the Patrol to go faster than a Murcielago are pretty crazy. Then again, these are dudes who go up on two wheels for a living...

Anyway, why don't they go back to the NFS I&2 roots and bring along heaps of supercars (and bring back the Fezzas!!) and more prominent real-world circuits. So far the only game that I've been able to go around Laguna Seca in is the Gran Turismo Series. Same with the Nurburgring (apart from Forza), same with Fuji, same with Tsukuba (which might I add is a pretty good drift track), Suzuka, and the Salt Circuit. If they wanted to be more like GT, follow in its footsteps.

Would love some closed circuit racing on official tracks as well, but to do that, they would have to buy licenses and do everything realistic and neat. If NFS has taught me anything, it's that EA won't go through that trouble.. sad as it may be..

EA is all about profit, and so they think about effort and money that that effort is giving them, and if it isn't enough they won't do it, it's that simple.
Same goes for bug fixes, normally you would have loads of beta tester that find bugs, eighter in gameplay but also in the GFX part of the game, in NFS PS (and prev titles) they test it abit and release it (shoter test time = more money saved) People will buy it anyway, and complain after they purchased it  (= money already in the bank )

I would not mind a more sim like game with real tracks and everything, but like Summ said, it has to be alot better and the tracks have to be real copies of the tracks and realistic physics.
Or else just leave it a fun arcade racer.
PS is a nice game but it's not a SIM neighter is it a full arcade racer, it's a other compromise wich isn't a good thing IMO.

I personally would like to see a nice mixed list of cars ranging from low end sports cars to high end exotics and highpowered muscle cars. but don't make it like Carbon where each "class "can do everything, make the limitations realistic.
