Wat is the function of the ATI Catalyst Control Center ?
Does it increase the performance ?

it's there to provide you with options to optimize your ATI card.... increase performace, increase quality, overclock, change hardware settings, it does it all...

i, however dont use it, as it doesnt have all the advanced features of ATI Tray Tools by Ray Adams. mucho bettero, in my opinion

It's just a bloatware version of the ATI Control Panel (which is the other option from ATI). Not recommended, atleast not by me. The CP offers the exact same functions but is much, much smaller and easier to use.

if u want some more advanced features, check out the ATI Tray Tools by Ray Adams. a Google search usually yeilds some results...

ATI Tray tools has all the features of the control panel + some advanced ones... like overclocking, and hardware profiles... as well as D3D profiles and some extra D3D options.
