Shockingly I have to drive an old 1990 Rover Metro 1.4 SL as I've just come outa uni and cant afford to get rid of my 'student' car just yet...although realisticly am looking at these: What do you think:

New or ex-demo Renault Clio 1.4 Dynamique

- 'sport' suspension and steering
- 15" alloys
- 95bhp (and close to the magic 100bhp-per-tonne)

OR

2nd hand Rover MG-F/TF (99-2001 reg)

- K-series engine (as used on Lotus Elise and Caterham)
- 1.8 litre engine
- 2 seater 8)

I cant get anything too crazy as I'm only 22 and therefore in the eyes of the insurance companies...a f**king criminal!! I have no points on my lisence, but have always been on other people's insurance, hence having no, no-claims-bonus.

500hp ? That's way too much for my taste lol. I can't even imagine how much money I'd have to spend on gas for that car.
Besides I'm not a big fan of Volvo.

I live in a good area/post code, so insurance would be 'cheap' in that respect, but I dont have any no claims bonus (have always been a 'named driver' on my Mum's insurance - so it would be kinda expensive. I'm much rather be driving something like an RX-7, but that must be insurance group 15 at least! The Clio is only group 5 and comes with a years free insurance and the MG is (I think) group 10. At 22 driving an RX-7, thats gotta be £2000-3000 per year! F**k that!

The Clio 1.4 is just under £10k with a years free insurance and I can get a nice low milage MG-F 1.8 in good condition for around £10k.

I do like your ride tho dude...nice one 8)

thanks, and just to let u know, its group 20 an im payin £1800 per year for insurance (fully comp), but its worth it :) . i can see where ur comin from with the no claims, it probably is best to have a car like a clio until youve got about 4 years, i payed £3000 tpft for a 1.4 SE ek civic when i was 17, so i know the sting of insurance lol

The insurance for my Corsa was around €600 a year, which is not that expensive cause it's 100% insurance. Whatever happenes the insurance will pay. 8)

It is!!! it is my real car,

It's a company car.... and also use it for myself, for shopping and even when I go on holydays for instance.... (for long trips I just remove the magnetic stickers and the Lesson bord on the top of the car... (and I remove the extra set of pedals....)

So why sould I buy a car....??? I don't have to pay insurance, tax, and diesel costs... :D (only have to pay diesel if i go away for a big trip and fuel it up somewhere else.... )

I had a Toyota Celica T18 but sold it as soon as I got the compay car....
I never drove it (no free petrol...) so It's cost me to much!

OK long story....

but hope you understand it....

i think it's the angel eyes he was hinting at. i've see his car at the other forum and he did the angel eyes on his e 36. His dad apparently owns a 5 series... i am not sure about that thoug... And that license plate - Norway?
