Hi all. Wondering if theres a fix for this; my wheel has a HUGE deadspot right in the middle, so that in order to turn the car I have to crank the wheel all the way in order to make the car turn, while jabbing the brakes to get the rear to slide around. Is there a way to change the deadzone in the controller? Thanks
p.s. I just got the game today, so maybe I just haven't played around with it enough to have found it.
thanks, but it isn't a prob with my wheel. I play 7 or 8 racing games regularly, including NFSU (the first one) and don't have this problem in any other game. I had a thought today about maybe lowering the LOD's, because maybe there's a delay in the signal because of my cpu, but I don't know that this would be a prob, since I'm running an XP 3200+ with a FX5900 vid card. But gonna try it and see. I was hoping there would be something in the config file or something where I could play with the numbers. But I don't see anywhere that I can adjust the steering sensitivity inside the game, which you would think would be a standard thing
OK, I figured out the problem; Rachel's car just SUX!!!! I've been playing around with my own car, and have almost all the first level performance upgrades, which means I have been able to set my car up the way I like it, and it handles like a dream. No deadzone at all, although it does feel a bit different than the first NFSU, like it takes a bit to respond, more like a real car than the first one. Just took a bit of getting used to is all, but now I'm driving the way I did with the first one. Thanks for the responses though
what company is the controller Wheel? Logitech? If there was any drivers with it, there should be an application for adjusting the sensitivity and dead zone for indivual programs and games.

It's a Thrustmaster Ferrari FF wheel. It did have a utility that allowed you to do the individual games setups, but it only worked with the first set of drivers, and there have been a couple sets since then. If you try to use it now it messes everything up.

if I can get bintex to work I'll be doing some vinyls, not too sure about cars though. If the vinyls work how I think they will I'll probably do some real liveries of cars from race series around the world.
