Hey, yes that Top Speed is incorrect as I changed it in photoshop, i am just trying to show you how easily this is done, and that screenshots can never really be seen as evidence of a certain speed. I am sure that you can get 400+ kmph using the technique of allowing the competitors to have a head start, then draft them, while using NOS...
On another note, are people modifying actual cars in the game? Before the game was released i couldn't wait to make a version of my own car (a earlier model celica). This would seem to be the ultimate modification to the game, and i know vinyls can now be modded, but can you import entirely new cars into the game?
Peace

i've noticed that can be done to thats why im trying to get a decent speed with fraps as that would be proof. except its very hard because it makes the computer run like shiznit and it screws with your timing. if someone can even get 390 with fraps running that would have to be the top score as the screenshots can't be taken as proof and fraps can.
im not saying anyone here has done this im just saying it can be done quite easily and until someone gets a video of a decent top speed this is all a bit of a waste of time

go and download fraps from here http://www.fraps.com
you inable fraps and go into the game, when your just before the start of a race press F9 to enable the video. recording you'll see at the top in the left corner where the framerate is being shown that it turns from red to yellow which means its recording. then when you get to the end and go to stats to show your speed press F9 to turn it off.
but make sure you have about 3 or 4 gigs of room before doing it because to begin with they take up heaps of room. then after you've got one go get a program called virtualdub and open it up and open your fraps video. then go to the video option up the top and go to compression. choose one and see how much you can get it down.
i got mine down from 1.5gb to 15mb but it looks like shiznit but its still watchable. atleast its not going to take people with 56k modems forever to download. now i just need to find out how i can get it up for people to watch.

ok fellas i sent an email to webmaster bobyx to see if we can get my video up on the site, im also hoping we can get a new section going where we can show off our highscores, fastest times and top speeds on video, also they can be used as guides and tutorials for those that don't know how to do it well, it could teach them the right technique and show them how the pros are doing it
Mazada RX-7 WITHOUT any unique upgrades or tricks.
Im seriosly thinking that Eclipse without unique upgrades can beat it...i did 354km/h on it with 1 perfect shift.....

My Speed
I don't have a screenshot to prove this because I play on GameCube but my highest drag speed was with a Skyline; I hit 231.56 MPH. I swear. Really.
That's definitely achievable, FlamingNeon - 231.56mph=372.66kmh, just one more than Abrams non-unique speed in the post above.
My best effort to date, believe it or not, is 374.06kmh - 232.43mph, at Commercial in a GOLF!! I aint been trying too hard or too long, just had a bit of a play with the Golf...
