Yup. I've met David Tate (he used to be my boss in a company I worked for). I know, "Who" (excuse the pun, you'll see why in a minute!) "the hell is David Tate?" you ask.
He used to manage The Who rock band before they became famous (or so he told us, anyway - maybe it was all the drugs that screwed his brain and he was imagining things...
)
Seriously, I once met Linda Lusardi (fit Page 3 of The Sun "newspaper" bird). I've got a signed photo (this was the late 80's). This isn't it, but it's decent (she has her clothes on!)
Oh, and I've also met Damon Hill, F1 Racing Driver and 1995 (I think) World Champion. He lives near me in a little village called Hambledon in Surrey. This guy is my hero (along with Nigel Mansell).
And here's one none of you will have heard of. I met Chris Barber (British Jazz Musician) at the Farnham Maltings after he did a show there (my dad was a Jazz fanatic, God bless him). I've got Chris's autograph on one of his albums - must be worth all of 50p
. Although I must say, I DO love his track "Sideways", the only Jazz track in my car CD collection. Bearing in mind most of my collection is stuff like Motorhead, Guns N Roses, ACDC, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, etc, it must be quite good!
