I read a bit about it in my magazine. search on google. It was at this place they had 2 minute demo footage of it did sony i think.

You mean the "Vision Gran Turismo" trailer?
That's not GT5. That's just a demo that shows a bit of the power of the PS3.The demo was running on the GT4 engine but on a higher resolution. It looks pretty cool seeing that many cars instead of the regular 6.
The Vision Gran Turismo trailer is just a taster of what's to come.I just can't wait for the true next-generation trailers to appear.GT5 will look photo realistic in every way.If they could make GT4 look this good with such poor specs they will be able to do amazing things with the PS3.I just can't wait.

Vision Gran Turismo is going to be a fully featured game, and will have many, many more cars than GT4 (which is unreal). I can only dream about the amount of Aussie cars . . .

Hate to bring this up again but it says in my mag you have ten to 15 cars racing. The graphics are truly amazing (There are screens of the footage) . The people in the pit stop run out to your car and the detail on them is amazing. The detail on all people is awsome. There will also be tyre smoke and permanent tyre marks instead of them fading away.

Vision GT won't be a game. It was just a tech demo using the GT4 engine but with everything bumped up,like the amount of cars,pit crews and resolution. The resolution on the cars, enviroments and the pit crew was about 5 times higher than that of GT4.

This is just a teaser of what will be possible with the PS3 and what we can expect from GT5.
The GT5 engine will be incredible when it's unveiled. You think those videos of PGR3 are impressive,you just wait.

its all lies man.sony is a bunch of liers.they promised us internet and movie making on the ps2 and we didnt get it now did we.now lets see if they get it this time.im telling yall.every damn ps3 game is a target video.sony even confessed to it.people thought that infamous KillZone2 movie was gameplay.you heard it.AT E3 ON E3 LIVE.

dude, there is internet with the PS2.... uhhh or am i dreaming? if you want movie making, use a damn PC...... I dont listen or read alot of stuff about the new gen game consoles, because most of it is speculation and s**t like that.......

Vision GT looks nice,There is gonna be a point where GFX arent gonna be a high priority, becuase gameplay is gonna take that over......

About that Killzone video. Yes it was a CG movie made by a studio in England. They said that this is what the actual game was going to look like. I strongly belive that we will get better looking games than that. Not in the first generation of PS3 games but after about 3 years we will start seeing some awesome stuff.

For the little PS3 and Xbox360 Discussion you guys are having maybe this is of interest to you.

A recent EA earnings report included a rather surprising but fascinating piece of industry analysis, from the highly respected Wedbush Morgan Securities. The report suggests that contrary to almost all official word, Sony may opt to delay the Playstation 3 until 2007. This shift could only come to pass if a series of criteria came to fruition however; and current popular opinion has a PS3 debut in Japan around spring next year - with a North American launch following by the close of 2006. However, Wedbush senior analyst Michael Pachter believes that the launch of the Xbox 360 this festive season will see the original Xbox dropped to a $99 US price point, sparking Sony to do the same with the aging PS2.

On the PS2 price cut, the analyst believes Sony are hoping to distract consumer attention away from the next-generation launch: "We believe that the company will attempt to disrupt the Xbox 360 launch with a price cut, and as a result may succeed in diverting attention away from the higher-priced next-generation console." Sony's PS2 can be made for under $99, meaning that the extended life-cycle is good for the company's profits. Next-generation systems meanwhile are sold at loss, and even if the Xbox is cut to $99 this too will be a loss-maker.

Much of Sony's release planning however still hangs on Microsoft's decisions and subsequent performance, Pachter commenting: "Should Microsoft fail to garner sufficient software support to gain an insurmountable lead, we think that there is a possibility that the PS3 launch will slip into early 2007."

Forza sucks. Doesn't have the feeling from GT4.. Tracks look plain, everything looks plain.

Thought there was going to be GT4 addon for online gaming? You could also use XLink Kai or something.

Gran Turismo 5 set for 07 release

Developer promises 100 times more detail

WE'RE BEGINNING TO see the initial slew of 2007 plans from the big companies and among them are plans for PlayStation headliner Gran Turismo which is to receive its fifth iteration in 2007.
Kazunori Yamauchi, boss of developer Polyphony Digital, has said that the game will be "100 times more detailed" than Gran Turismo 4. Weâ€™ll see how this pans out when preview copies begin to arrive on our doorsteps in the coming year.

Meanwhile GT4 is set to expand to the 44 million copy dynasty when it launches onto the PSP in the next few months.

Well, there are a lot of things in the current game that are less than perfect.

Such as:
B-spec + AI
GFX (no aliasing, and more polys)
pitstops
tyre wear + grip levels
the incredible amount of jap-crap cars

And there are things that need to be included such as:
damage
cockpit view
net play
team building and rivalries
more mods
high resolution textures
playback controls during replays
more control of the camera in photomode
ability to save replays and data logging onto a USB drive

I'm sure they can think of 85 more things.
