alright, sorry if this has been said... but ive got nothing... but to the question.


i got me a copy of NFS:High Stakes for the PC today and when ever i install it it keeps saying (after its installed) when i click to play:' PLEASE INSERT THE CORRECT CD-ROM, SELECT OK AND RESTART APPLICATION'. WHY is it donig this, i dont know much about this crap and it is annoying me because i want to play badly.

if you know how i can get it to work please tell me, i need it badly.

Do you have the original CD or did someone burn the game on a CD for you? If it's the latter then you will need a NO-CD patch.

Look for it on Google.

where can i get one, and is there a particular place that i have to save it or can i save it anywhere

and once ive got one, how do i get it to work.

Probably this is due to multiple disc drives... How many CD drives do you have, 'clipse?

Probably not. It's something that happens when you copy a game and you'll have to fix it with a crack.

Hmm, I got this before when I installed a freshly purchased NFSU1. I de-activated one CD drive and the error disappeared.

Makes sense, especially if you put the disk in the alternate drive and not your primary one.

you need to find the crack at your cd and copy it to your game folder.

You can only find a crack in the CD if you purchase an illegal version of the game, and this site doesn't support warez, so don't even open a topic about it. ;)
