You should only use the RX 7 for DRIFT races and then only with minor upgrades...definately dont use for speed....iyou wont max speed..get the Miata...unbeatable.............

I choose RX-7 visually, I think it looks better. Loved it in NFSU and love it in NFSU2.
I think the RX-8 is faster though.

The Rx-7 and the Rx-8 are both great looking cars...
But the X-7 just looks a whole lot better..
It also performs a whole lot better..

now, Its a contest betwwen the RX-7 FD3S and the X-7 FC3S...

To be quite honest I prefer the FC over the FD...but not by much..
Maybe im just an Initial D fanboy..
But I just think it looks superior to the FD...

any thoughts?

If you ask me I would chose RX-8 Its better looking and I would not take the RX-7 for litlle better preformance it cant be so much diference betwen this two cars becouse they are the same model RX !

Looks great! Too bad that mazda will not release him in a while time! Coz RX-8 is still new(I mean that is not pased a lot of time from the time that RX-8 was released) and RX-9 probably will come out next or year!

Theyre actually completely different cars.

The RX7 uses a turbocharged rotary engine, and is considerably lighter than the RX8. In basic terms, while an RX7 could hang with a Supra in a straight line, and RX8 would be left a huge distance behind over a 1/4 mile.

In the corners, the RX7 is a different beast, and would leave both the Supra and an RX8 for dead. I think I posted the stats earlier in this thread for both cars.

This is true the RX-7 kills the Supra easily. People forget how heavy the supra is and even with 320hp its still very friggin heavy. Just shy of 3,500lbs

Lets also not forget this is the Era of shiznit four door performance cars. That's why the RX-8 has the back seats and suicide doors. In Japan the RX-7 retained the back seat, I can guess why the US model didn't. Cheap bastard-itis Mazda USA.

When I was say that they are same model I was not mean on comparing with other cars. I mean like peugeot 205 and 206 same model but new desing and engine ofcoourse! Man I think that RX-8 also uses rotary engine and ofcourse that RX-7 are lighter becouse its smaller!And in my country I never seen supra not even in a store becouse you have to order one so I would not be worried about supra beating me on straight line!

Heh, not quite. You see, the 13B-REW engine almost completely lacks torque, whereas the 2JZ-GTE has buckets of it.This means that the Supras powerband is much lower in the rev range than an RX7, and pulls through the gears stronger.

Thats on paper. In reality, youre looking at these sort of specs:

Supra - 13.6@106mph
RX7 - 13.8 @ 103mph

Which equates to about half a car length on the street/strip. Remember, BHP sells a car, torque makes it go fast.
