Renault would be owned big time if McLaren didn't have any mechanical failures this season.

I almost wanted to poke my eyes out when Raikkonen's flatspot on the tyre caused all the suspension crap to break off in the LAST LAP. I believe it was on the Nurburging. D:<

Don't forget about Mark Webber! The only thing which is letting him down, is his car. If he has a faster, more decent car next year, he could quite possibly be the next Alonso. So hopefully the Williams team will improve in the coming years (and they will also switch to brigestone tyres :D )

Edit: Mclaren is evil

i used to support Williams, but man, i couldn't have made a worse decision :(
hopefully they can fix up their chassis and tyre issues soon...and lets see how their new engine (Cosworth) will perform against the now departed BMW

Hey McLaren fan, do you knowPedro Martinez de la Rosa? He will be the 3rd driver in China.

Since he is Spanish, he always comments the races along with the TV dudes, and he sometimes gives out secret infos about McLaren :P  8)

Nah j/k... i.e. He denies to say how many RPMs does the Mclaren engine do, same for other infos... hehe

If ferraries engines does about 27 - 30 thenn Mclaren is not far away!

Can't be much different than other engines I think?

30 RPM? [sarcasm]That's alot! [/sarcasm]

Ferrari wasn't doing well this season.. Probably because alot of teams are at the same level as Ferrari already. And Michael Schumacher had its time.. I heard Alonso signed a contract at Ferrari?"

And what's up with the youngest world champion thing.. We have 12 year olds racing in the F1 if this keeps on going. :')

Alonso signed for Ferrari? I think u got that very wrong...(Edit) Felipe Massa has signed for Ferrari to drive nxt to Schumi, year 2006. Ferrari has said that they want Valentino Rossi and Räikkonen for 2007.

Congrats to Fernando Alonso and Renault for a fabulous title!!

Nah. Rumours around here are the following: Barrichello is leaving Ferrari, Shumacher keeps in Ferrari, Button goes to fill the place of Barrichello. Alonso ---> Renault

About the youngest thing: Now Alonso is a legend! The previous youngest dude was Fittipaldi at 1972!

Well the people around here is hyper-excited about our neighboor Alonso becoming the best driver in the world  And I stick to Schumacher I think he's the best and I think that he will pwn again the 2006 seasson (Ferrari needs new tires LOL)

Raikkonen is very good aswell, I would say it's about as good as Alonso and both of them are young (25 and 24 years old). The 2005 McLaren is in fact more powerful that the Renault R25, it's just that its engine seems to be very fragile  Moreover both the McLaren drivers like to force their engines to the max specially Raikkonen. Even when he was 1st in certain races, he used to keep going at max RPMs and the engine suffers a lot!

Pizzonia? WTH?

Yes, I'm probably wrong. It's just something I heard.

That's why the McLaren is so crazy fast.. Like when Montoya got to 1st overtaking Alonso at the end of the straight line, braking just a bit later. It can go faster though, I think it was already against its limit because of the gear settings.

Raikkonen has to keep going even though he's at 1st, or he'll lose time which isn't good for pitstops. The engine is built for high RPMS though, they'll trash the engine later on and get a new one.

Congrat. To Alonso.

I knew he would become "World Champion"

Here are the predictions for the 2006 F1 grid (source= F1live.com)
Image

ps: There were 3 World Champions yesterday.
- Valentino Rossi: Moto GP (in Malaysia)
- Tom Boonen (Belgian :P): cycling (Madrid)
- Fernando Alonso: F1 (Brazil)

I know that 90% of F1 drivers shifting gears between 17 and 20 RPM and schummi has once push ferrari to 28 on training! That is what I heard from comentator.
If there are cars that have 9000Rpm thenn I dont see why formulas would not have at least 20

Uh, yes. There is a ''minor'' difference between 9000 and 20.

Today Räikkönen showed who's who in F1. A win from the 17th starting position and with style also. Those last few laps were amazing driving from Räikkönen.
And now there's gonna be a gr8 battle for the constructors title in the last race in Shanghai.

Yeah, it was great to see Schumi, Kimi and Alonso in a battle. Tho Schumi lost, he didn't give up easily. Can't say the same about Giancarlo who was driving way too defensively in the end and lost the victory.

But atleast in couple of years time there should be 3 finns in the F1. Now that would be cool.

Like the saying goes: If you want to win choose a finn!(or something like that :) )

EDIT:The battle between Kovalainen and Rosberg in the GP2 series reminded me of Häkkinen and Salo dominating british F3(if remember correctly) series back in the days.

BAR hit 415 km/h or almost 258 mph on the saltflats! The car was specially prepared for it, but still race legal!
