GT4 vs. NFS (Any title)

Post by Sk8etnies0228 »

ok so i want to take a survey to see who likes which game better.
Gran Turismo 4
or
Need For Speed (Any title)
i personally am a HUGE fan of GT4. i think it is a far superior game. It is much more realisitic, more of a driving simulator then a arcade style game like NFS.
and besides, i have 1443hp Toyota Minolta in GT4
so anyone's input into which game they like better would be appreciated.
thanks

Yes, a bit hard to compare. GT4 is better. Realistic. More cars.

And the wrong section.

NFS is mostly about sprints. NFSU2 has a good variety of cars and tracks though. NFSHS was a fast paced game, although NFSU2s Street X events are quick also.

GT4 should be compared against GTR, GTLegends, rFactor, F1C99-02, NR2003 and the various mods for these games.

First of all, why isn't this is the Games-forum :?

Secondly, you should've made a poll

Third, Sim. vs Arcade ..... I prefer a racing sim, not GT4, but Forza Motorsport.

I'm don't want to start another discussion about Forza vs GT4 btw.

Nfs is for the" not to do in reallyt" things because it's all about speed not realistical handaling or crashes it's all about adrenaline junckies .
Gt4 it's driving simulator soo it's normal that it should have a lot more cars and realistical of every thing but nfs and the gt series are not similar in most parts just in some.

Why GT4 vs. NFS (any title) and not GT (any title) vs NFS (any title) or GT4 vs NFSU2? Weird.. :/

Ill go for NFS. If it wold be GT against NFS GT would win.

I am more of a driving simulator person then an arcade style racer, such as the NFS series (although I love the games very much :P ).
I personally think EA and Polyphony Digital should team up together and make a realistic style driving game, with those wild police chasses  That would pwn!

I don't really have an opinion on this subject, as it was stated before: there can be no comparison between simulation games and arcade games. But, NFSMW looks to be a much more realistic product, than previous NFS titles. For example, it has damage (other cars) superior sounds, and I believe, a deeper insight to the whole culture of "Underground" racing. Keep in mind though, it's only my opinion. :P

too hard to compare for me because one is more realistic, but the other has better visual customisation features.

NFS could easily smoke any other racing game. NFS is the biggest title in racing games where you get to customize the car.

You should be able to do visual modifications and aerodynamic in GT4.
Unfortunately it can bee toooooooooo long at times and a pain.

NFS : Great for quick thrills.
Modifying is great.

Both games suit different moods.

Are you saying that NFS can easily smoke GT4?

Yes, and when you screw up in Gran Turismo, you suddenly get the urge to just throw the controller into the ground. ... Especially those evil driving missions. (I am not guilty of this though!)
