Gran Turismo 4 showroom, post your pics here // pt.2

Post by jacoja06 »

Well, It has been almost a week since the previous - ''GRAN TURISMO 4 SHOW ROOM, post your pics here'' thread had mysteriously stopped working, so please continue in this thread as though nothing ever happened :

Well, here is what I was going to post earlier:
Thanks to Boganbusmans new 'soft' technique for the pictures, they turned out quite nice indeed 8) - thanks Bogan!

Wow awesome dude, good to hear that you like the new technique

The last pic is best, but there is too much contrast or something because the left side of the pic is badly pixelated :?

Yeah... I see that also . I think it was a combination between the contrast change, and the saved image quality (Which ended up being 8/12 just to get 278.42 KB)... I think I should apply rendering for a touch-up job. 8)

Edit: I hope this is better: :) (It still looks a bit sketchy)

 That Celica shot is the most realistic GT4 pic I've ever seen  The lighting is just perfect

The Monaro one is great too . . . even though it's a Monaro

Getting sick of Monaro's is unheard of... 8) I suppose I should have written why each of those cars are in my hall of fame... meh... I'll do it later.

btw janx; you joined this site just 3 days after I did... and by now you should already know the signature size rules

Late edit: Oh thanks bogan ^_^ ... Just some added contrast, and the game did the rest.

Corrola photo? :?

@ Janx, nice photo's.
And for the 'soft' thing... try and distinguish the differences between these two pictures:
You will need photoshop to do it. :)

Edit: This technique can look much better... I just woofed this up in 2 seconds.

LOL... I just confused you even more.

OK then... just look at what has changed to the edges. It's as though they have become smoother, or as though the rougher shadows have been rendered in some way.
If you look at the top joints of the spoiler, you will see a slight haze of blue which curves outside the corner... if you get what I'm saying. It's as though a film has been placed over the original image (which gives it a smooth, softness effect).

Edit: It's also a great effect for headlights ('Mr. Venom' shot @ 1st post).

Hehe... nice black winter rims on the WRX. I'd take those black dull rims for any other rims you'd give me. Unless of course they were chrome BBS' or Racinghart CP-035's :D

Oh and jacoja, how the hell were you able to do that big blur effect on the monaro, where all the background is like zooming into the car?

Yes. They certainly give out that first car feel :D (Even though it was my 2nd). I just love those black... ahh...what are they called?... 'rims'

Two things: Photoshop & Radial blur 8)

Edit: I’ve made a couple of updates to my gallery (don't bother looking in Default theme!)

Ah, now I understand

Therefore you would be the first to use the radial blur technique on GT4 cars, am I right or wrong?

I didn't want to do that 100 000cr file transfer thing... It's so increadibly cheap. It gives you a head start, and starting low is the funnest part of the entire game.

Alright, Here is my week 12 entry: *edited*

I have never done the 'getting 100K from GT3''.... and i never will... the best part of the game is the start when you have to save up all the money and why ruin it by doing that?... but thats just me
