NFS6 demo out - your opinions

Post by Bojan »

I've downloaded the demo as soon as I heard it's available.

I'm not too impressed with it though... Car handling is funny (better than in nfs4), no dash view, stupid smoke bombs the helicopters are dropping.
The cars are really detailed and the graphics look cool.
The track is giant, which is very good.

I won't be too happy if the real game looks like this.

I agree with bobyx on this one... and I also think it seemed too much arcade style for my liking... but I wont say much more untill I've tested the full version :)

I think NFS5 was better. My Wheel (Saitek R4 Force Wheel) doesn't work correctly. It's bad that there is no dash. I hope that will change in the full version.

Nice that the roads are so long.

Bye!

I just finished racing the Porsche, after I tuned it. Much better...

It gave me a whole new outlook with this game. Not too bad now. If you drive fast and stay on course the Helicopter's do not always even come out. I was outrunnung the cop cars though.

I gave my car minor tuning and now I like it. It feels much better now, as if I upgraded parts from NFSPU. I would imagine this will be in the full version.

Anyone figure out how yo get all 4 cars into one game yet...?

I have both demos now, but switching between them to play with the Fords gets old. I can tell you it is not a simple as dropping the Ford Car file into the folder, I tried that.

I want more already...

Does annybody know if these Radeon 8500 problems in the demo are gone in the real game.

And can you choose the camera in the replay, and the dash (in car view), and can you switch the lights.

I already edited a few ini files, changed the cameras, but could not get it inside the car (if you get too close it centers above the car) and set the cop folow time at 1 second (easy money, no chopper, +/- 8000 $ per race).

Does anybody have the game already ??

In Holland it's comming this week ! :P

hmm, i dont think, the new game is a real advance compared to nfs5pu.

some things a really annoying:

* - no dash view, so i cant lookt at that cool dash of the bmw m5
* - no lights, so the replays dont look as cool as in the version before
* - replay function is more than naked, no choice of changing camera view
* - graphics are cool, but a way to "screaming"

so, post ur opinion, would be intersting

ps: got the luck to play full version at my friends home, demo represents the full-version

I got the full version. There are a few bad things about it, like the ones you listed. But it's still really fun. I'll write a review of the game soon.

one thing i would like to say ITS RESOURCE HEAVY ... nfs 5 runs superb at a max resolution of 800*600 , but this one is a crap .... even at 640*480 , with all settings low, game jerks...

the tracks and cars dont seem realistic (at least on my pc), whereas NFS 5 tracks/ cars are excellent....

i think nfs 5 has the best graphics ... no comparison !
