Well, as much as I dislike Nissan/Honda's decision to not let their cars in this game, I believe the you have to agree with them. Say that you are the head of that company. Would you really want your cars to be portrayed as cars that aid people in breaking the law? I think that both companies are just trying to protect their image. Keep in mind though, this is only my opinion.

If everyone really worried about that NO ONE would allow their cars to be in games like this.Peter Ferrell wrote:Well, as much as I dislike Nissan/Honda's decision to not let their cars in this game, I believe the you have to agree with them. I don't want to be a bugger but since the official list was announced, shouldn't this topic be locked. I mean, whatever car that didn't make it, didn't make it. That's it.
We all know EA made a big mistake by not including Ferrari, Honda and Nissan in MW but that's it, we have to live with that, move on and hope that they will include our favourite cars in future NFS games.

Well, yeah, I see your point. On the other hand, it's one thing to upgrade a car that was hindered a bit by fittng into a certain price point, and another to like a car who's only noticable asset was that it was rediculously cheap (oh, I guess to be fair, GM could throw an acceptable amount of horsepower at the Cavalier). As I said, it's got a chassis that dates back to Ronald Regan's first term, a chassis that predates Return of the Jedi, and a chassis that was merely adequate to begin with. If there's a drag mode in the game, I guess it's understandable. But I get the impression that the Cavalier is nothing more than that first car you buy because it's all you can afford. And, uhh, the winner is the first person across the finish line. It's all good and everything to use your favorite car if you have fun, but that doesn't make you a winner (although if you can win with it, that's even better).Peter Ferrell wrote:That's one of the good things about these tuner things though. Civics, Focus', Fiats', etc are not the greatest, or "craptacularHecubus wrote:Sunfire or Cavalier? I know they've got a decent aftermarket, but stock, they're kinda craptacular. The chassis is older than me (oh, to be fair, they did that big update - 10 years ago). And, uhh, good luck getting a car that's sold only in Canada (the Pursuit) into any international game. At least we've got the identical (except that it's got the better engine) Cobalt. And, finally, the XLR would be kinda cool. Oh yeah, G6, decent car too.Peter Ferrell wrote:I would like to see even more GM cars in the game, such as the Sunfire, Cavilier, G6, or the Pursuit. Also, the Cadillac Coupe ( the XRS I belive?)...". But, you can make them better. In my opinion, a winner is not one who uses the best car, but one who wins with their favourites.

I know it's been mentioned to death, but I too want to see the '06 or later Dodge Charger, Dodge Neon, an '84 Celica Supra L, '91 Mitsubishi 3000GT, Toyota Prius Hybrid, Honda Civic and/or Accord Hybrid, (haven't they released these yet?), '68 Shelby GT-500 convertable, Subaru Hybrid (I forget the name), how about getting rid of the friggen porche's for a change!, Some of the new sportier Volvo's (the hard-top convertable would be a great one,) the Pontiac GTO needs to be the late 60's model, not the new one!, an '89 Ford Probe GT would be a nice "starter" car, also the Chrysler Conquest TSI was a great car for a starter car too, so would be a Daytona, the late model ones. Of course I don't expect to see any of these fine cars in the NFS series but I would love it if they were. Especially if they put at least a few decent Country songs in the game to make it worth listening to!
Edited because had wrong years for a couple cars!

There was no '86 Probe or 3000GT. The Probe didn't come out until '89, and I believe the 3000GT was '91 (although Mitsubishi would've had the Starion in '86, which is the same as the Conquest). Oh, and, c'mon man, nothing wrong with Porsches! Other than that, that's a pretty cool list. Except for the country :p I mean, I guess that'd work if it was more of a Dukes of Hazzard type thing, but since it's in the city, I'm not sure how well it'd work. On the other hand, you can just turn the music off and choose your own music (probably a better alternative anyways, you're not bound by copyright and licensing and crap).
I rather run winamp.Coz I have my DVD/Reciver/Home Teather system atached on my comp.So I listen music and all other sounds over my DVD/Reciver and cant listen music while I am playing game coz I wont hear game music thenn.
Or I can put my litlle speakers that I get with my comp and let music over DVD.

Currently how I play my own music is I either use iTunes or WMP10 to play it while the game is running and I turn off all the idiotic ingame music leaving only the ingame sounds to play simultaniously, although I have to adjust my outside player volume levels to play the music, I have also used a second CD/DVD player to do it as well as used MusicMatch Jukebox, I wont have that crap software WinAmp on my systems, so I have no idea about using it.
Also, about the year models of the Probe and Eclipse, I wasn't sure about the original releases, but whatever they were originally, I would rather those be in the game instead of the later models.
For as far as country goes, I was thinking more in line of songs such as Daryl Singletary's "Too Much Fun", Lynard Skynard's "Freebird", or Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" for some examples. Hell even some rock songs like "I can't drive 55" (cant remember who sang it off hand,) AC/DC's "Highway to Hell", Metallica's "Wherever I may roam" would be a nice inclusion for a change.

I don't understand EA... I understand that they could not obtain liscenses for Honda, Nissan, and Ferrari. But to take out the older Eclipse, and 3000GT, while replacing them with the newer Eclipse? I would have kept the two older models in the game, to give a little more variety to the import fans.
