Anyone see this crap? Looks like Chevy is gonna pull a Dodge and make the Cobalt SS SC so frickin impractical it will be discontinued from lack of sales and even worse gas mileage in a year. I could be wrong, 241hp ain't exactly land speed record ability. Possibly kiss your ass goodbye S2000.

Neat, they made it fast and not ugly. Why would they need an AWD with the Evo engine with the Evo around though?

If you mean that Chevy's pulling a Dodge by making aftermarket parts for the Cobalt, then, yeah, sure, that's what they're doing. I just don't see where the rest comes in (the SRT-4 was cancelled because the Neon/SX 2.0 was discontinued, it's going to be replaced by a new car - the Caliber, which should have an SRT version a few months after production). And, yeah, 241 isn't overwhelming, but it is an increase over the stock 205. Whatever, it shouldn't void the warrenty, so it's not a big deal.

The only weird thing is that the supercharged engine is only available (as far as I know) on the Cobalt SS coupe (the Cobalt SS sedan is only available with the 2.4l ecotec, with 171hp).

I meant exactly what I said, they are pulling an SRT-4 by making the car powerful enough to kill the gas mileage and reliability. Since the SRT-4 was a piece of junk with 230hp and alot of hype it failed to live up to. Not my problem if you didn't understand english.

Don't understand English? Yeah, right.

Look, these are aftermarket parts. Just like the SRT-4. It's not going to make one iota of difference to the fuel economy if you don't put them on. And will reliability suffer? I'm sure it'll get worse, but these will be factory backed parts. In other words, they'll still be under warrenty. And don't you think if it's going to make a noticable difference in reliability, GM wouldn't take the time to do so, as they'd stand to lose money. GM isn't making any massive changes to the Cobalt from the factory, so it's not going under any massive risk. It'd do ya some good to stop being such an arrogant prick.

Furthermore, the SRT-4 lived up to exactly what it was made out to be; a Neon on steroids. For the money, it's a very quick little car, albeit very rough and uncivilized. And although it's not the best at cornering, it's respectable enough.

All I see from your post is a series of unfounded judgements and randomly hurled insults that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, so forgive me for not being able to comprehend your abstract thought patterns.

Back off. I really don't care what you have to say. I said what I said and you can't change it so get over it. The SRT-4 is still crap. Case closed.
