Most Wanted Demo reviews
Control
The cars move smoothly, with minimal lag, and it kicks ass to no longer see your car flying in the air with much more realistic crashes. It may seem like a corny rip off of bullet time, but the race breaker feature becomes so usefull it becomes second nature like nitrous, almost to point of being cheap. It allows you to become the ultimate racer, and wont make you extremely frustrated when you miss a corner and come to a complete stop (Like in endurance races in NFSU1). The new menu is fast and easy to use, with lots of little animations, and the creative camera angles make everything more smooth.
Sound
The realistic suonds of everything from the engine sound of the Viper (It made my knees shake) to the never repeating cop dialogues, it felt top notch. Music choices are based on opinion, but they were pretty decent.
Graphics
Everything about the new graphics were extordinary. What you saw in the previews is what you get, and you dont need a high end rig to run it. The sky is clear and belivable, and l never get tired of racing in the daylight. While you may think 8 cops at a time will cause your poor little compy to start skipping frames, think again. The amount of chaos and effects are all visible and keep the pace fast and furious. Cars are much more higher in quality, and interior details is icing on the top.
Gameplay
IGN was correct about the game being extremely long, but repetiveness is not. Cops can sometimes be easily outrun, but taking a corner at the last minute is not the best way to beat them (A totally new AI, unlike U2's dumbbumbum ricers). The world is definetly much larger, and for good reason. From what l've seen, there are no mountains like Beacon Hill, and there's plenty of straightaways for top speed nuts, with plenty of narrow and wide areas. While l didnt have time to look at places up close, it was definetly high in detail.
Overall
If this is just a demo, lm definetly buying the game when it comes out, so far, l found no bugs, so l'd keep my hopes up for the final.

my review:
Control:
The controlling of this game is alot better than it was in underground 2, the cars handle a little more realisticly than they used to. The speed breaker feature really adds another dimension to the game and they merged it in perfectly, and the controlling is really good when you are using that.
SOUND:
the sounds in this game are so much better and realistic then they were in underground. All of the cars clearly have their own distinct sound, the BMW M3 is the best sounding in the demo i got (the other cars being an RX8, and you race against an imprezza and mustang). you can hear when the engine is struggling or at its redline really good.
GRAPHICS:
OMG.... The best graphics ever seen in a NFS game by far, the level of detail was just amazing. From the detail on the interior of the cars to the grills infront of the inter-cooler to the fumes coming out of the exhaust and bouncing off the road. I have never seen a game that has this level of detail in it, and the police vehicles just get destroyed and thatr looks really good.
GAMEPLAY:
The most fun game i have ever played by far... like IGN and Pinecone
said, the game is long but definetly not boring... you only have access to a small part of the whole map but this was a really good part. There are so many things you can destroy, i remember last night, i was doing a tollbooth race and there is a boad on the side of the pier being held up by stilts, and you nock it off the stilts and right on top of tho cops behind you, this is really an amazing thing to as it is not only a boad, there are litterally 100's of things you can do this to.
AI:
WOW... WOW... the AI of the police cars are like no other game, there is nothing wrong with it, they clerly work together to bust you and they do it perfectlty. One smash, one wrong turn and your gone, youll soon have 20 cop cars around your car and no way to escape.
OVERALL:
BY FAR THE BEST GAME OF THE YEAR, i cant wait till this is released becuase it is going to be awsome.
If you dont yet have the demo, you have to get it... and if there is anyone doubting that they will even get the game... TRUST ME, IF YOU DONT GET IT YOULL REGRET IT.... because this is the best in the NFS series, and probably the best racer out.

Control:
Smooth as glass controls.Cars respond great! I just don't like getting rammed about by the police and losing control when they aren't touch me, when they're surrounding me.
Sound:
AMAZING! Sounds dang great, the best of any NFS series and is very life like. From the engine sounds, to the environment sound, to the nonstop realistic police chatter.
Graphics:
AMAZING! I can run at full settings at 800x600 *which is what my monitor is set at* and have perfect run, even with all the cops and special effects.
Gameplay:
Not repetative and very addicting, damn!
Overall
9.5.10 a must get for any racing game fan

Well, I'm definitely glad I made the preorder. Most Wanted is everything that Need For Speed has been and has wanting to be. The gameplay doesn't get repetitive at all. After all, after not being chased by cops for a couple of years, Most Wanted is definitely something fresh. I still like how EA included visual and performance tuning in this game. Without it, our cars wouldn't be individualized by design. The physics are great, they've been perfected quite well. To me, it's a perfect balance between arcade and sim. The sense of speed is just phenomonal. I was a bit disappointed by the sound effects - the IS300 engine sound is a rehash of the 350Z and G35 sounds from NFSU2, but that's okay with me since it has been done before with previous NFS games. I spent a lot of time playing the Roadblock Challenge because, well, after I was done with my roadblocks, I had to fill my evade bar and have the cooldown bar fill up as well. It took me about a half hour total to complete it, but it was loads of fun. Speedbreaker is great, I can't wait to use it elsewhere. It's PERFECT for the sharp corners. I can only imagine what the Drift mode in NFSU2 woulda been like with the speedbreaker. One thing I did notice about it is that the speedbreaker acted like an E-Brake as well. I noticed that my revs were a lot lower than i wanted them to be when I got out of the speedbreaker. The soundtrack is alright, but I absolutely ADORE the dynamic music during the cop chases. That really gets me pumping. I can't wait for the full version to pop up on my desk next week, I'll be spending long hours and weekends playing it.

I'll post my specs along with a review of the demo later, after i play it at home, shud be dun dling in 10mins.
Gunna try it at work on a Geforce 2 machine b4 i get home and tell ya how it runs, one thing i realised in the videos i saw that i didn't like was the fact that i heard no engine sound when they were driving in 1st person view, which is wat i always use cuz i love hearing the gear click when its changed, can anyone clarify this for me?

if you're missing it, it means that you have the game set to Prologic 2 mode (or stereo on PC), and you're feeding it into a mono cable. This cancels the left and right speaker out for anything that's playing behind you (so you're missing AI cars behind you as well etc.). I'd suggest to check your hardware, cables and setup.baadmw wrote:the engine sound was missing with that camera angle in U2 too
cheers !

Couldn't be better! Awesome steering. Much better than the unrealistic HP2 and UG Series!
Sound:
The best of any NFS series as Speed818 says, " From the engine sounds, to the environment sound, to the nonstop realistic police chatter."
Graphics:
Much better than UG2...best graphics on a game yet!
Gameplay:
Very addicting. The cops AI is realistic...they start out easy and go slow...but at the end they are willing to kill themselves to catch you!
Overall:
10 out of 10! Must get for any gamer.

Wow... Great demo!!!
GRAPHICS
Couldn't be any better!! I'd like to know how to switch off the motion blur though, 'cos it takes up my time on the PC.
COPS
Wow!! Very, very, very, very, very agressive!! I've had the SUV's ramming on me from another direction while I'm in high speed. They show no fear in ramming us!!!
However, one thing I don't quite like is that the cops can overtake me, despite after ramming them so hard. It's like, they gain speed rapidly. This has got to go..
CONTROLS
The controls were pretty OK, wouldn't say fine though.. The Viper spun out to easily...
SOUND
One word: BRILLIANT!!!
GAMEPLAY
I love it!! We can go to stadiums and golf courses for hideout!! It's too bad that this is only the demo, I'd love to see more hideout places.
CARS
Not the greatest choices for the demo, especially the Lexus IS300. I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I had with the Viper and the tuned Mustang. I was expecting the M3 GTR and the RX-8.
RACE MODES
If I get to pick a favourite, it'd be the Roadblock challenge. It reallt test your skills on cop evasion. I'd suggest all you most-wanted racers wannabe to keep on racing this race to come out tops, because the cops show no mercy at ALL!
OVERALL
Must buy game!!!!! 9.5 / 10! Well done EA!
Peace out, and enjoy being Most Wanted!
