fancy press in SR3?

Post by Xtreme2 »

hey guys, look at my question. what do you like better, fancy pres or the "normal and simple layout"?

fancy pres would be nice if you want to upload some of youre old cars in sr3 so you wont have to redo the presentation and it looks a bit nicer.

BUT with the normal layout ( sc2 layout) u dont have the difference between good pres and bad pres so the voters will vote on the car and not on the photoshop skills, wich is in my opnion better...

what do you think?

Down with fancy.
I wouldn't have made presentations for my rides if hadn't noticed that if i didn't i'd get worse points.
And it's true.
I submitted the same rides with new presentations and they got much better points.
I think it sucks.

Those that took the time and energy to learn how to use an image editing program deserve some credit you know. Have you ever thought about the time they spend on the presentations to please others? (I dont spend that much time, but others do).

As long as they dont touch the car, whats difference if a car is on a white background or a green background?

The colour.
But now we are talking about the garage and homemade backgrounds.. or?

Besides, try it yourself. Upload 2 cars, both must look exactly the same, one of these, with a fancy presentaion, and the other one, with just 1 screenie taken directly from the standard garage.
Unless you're blind, you'll probably notice that the car with the fancy pres, will get, not just more, but higher votes. While the other 1-screenie-car will get, not only less, but also lower votes.

l have, l have gone from fancy presentations (Reflections, bright lights, the works) to old school (What l have now), a presentation that offers nothing but pictures of the car, and my ratings are much better. Take for example, Enzo.ph, he is the top ranked, and he has a much less fancy presentation then mine. His cars are what got him to the top, not the presentation. If a line is to be drawn, then so be it, but there should be flexibility in the presentation of cars.

He had fancy presentations before, in that way, he became "famous", and these "famous" people also get higher votes, don't ask me why, that's just the way it is.

im not with fancy pres

I have seen so many fancy pres that now im sick of it
plus im also tired of the 'CHEAT VOTES' (as i called them)
that they get for you.
A lot of ppl who makes fancy pres get more upvotes than those
who don`t,simply because they edit the car and the colors to make it
more fancy and in some cases more shiny.

This already got me very sick

so i say the no-no to fancy pres
im on with single-pic pres

Why don't you try getting one picture, by using your game, and the Print Screen key. Believe it or not, that takes a lot time also, and most of those users don't get any credit you know...

You need some skills to get a cool screenshot, nevertheless... And if you manage to get one, the result is better than spending 4 hours on a presentation.

I can't and I won't tell you what to do, but from now on, I'll pretend to be a good photographer and will use only one picture in my 'presentations'

I'm also with non fancy pres, but 1 pic just doesn't cover the whole car so I wanna see atleast 2 different angles.

listen here:
NO FANCY PRES!
ive seen tons of cars with presentations that are butt-ugly, but sometimes get ranked first because they have an awsome pres.
Butt ugly cars ranked first?
 x100
and good cars without a pres are low ranked?
 x200

I don't care, realy...i don't care about votes, i don't care if someone give me 10 or 1 pt, and i don't care if fancy presentation will be allowed or not, BUT i care about one thing - SHOW YOUR RIDE TO OTHERS, ya ya, SHOW, BUT not VOTE and other s**t like that.
So, if you REALY care about votes, don't allow fancy pres. and if you came here JUSt to SHOW your ride, make that fancy shmansy pres.

Well like many people said id lean towards less presentations.

NFSMW ingame car selection screen got pretty nice layout, and i dont like seeing cars simply took from game and putten onto 3D Photoshoped background.

Yeah, SHOW in ANY way you WANT, but if you care about votes  then keep complaining about fancy pres.
And why when you see car with fancy pres. you think it's edited? :?
And one more thing, all this complaining about votes, fancy and layput pres. is so kinda stupid, we looks like little kids..oh mammy, that guy make fancy pres. and get 10pts. but i got only 8, because my pres. is too simple

I think votes should be removed, maybe then people stop complaining about downvoters, and stop complaining about fancy pres.

So, votes and fancy presentations should be removed, just one screeny and no vote, yeah, SHOW your ride, who need those votes, then everybody will be happy

Thats exactly why people bother with presentations, for votes, imo.

People should stick to straight Showcase pics for Most Wanted. I think it is a nice feature regardless.

yup, or in-game pics as addition to the main garage pic.

I.e. putting back/side/front views of car in small pictures isnt a presentation that requres special image editing skills.
