Its been a bit of a bad run on this whole bodykit business:
1) Despite being promised the car would be in the garage first thing, there was a week delay as he was 'to busy' to fit it.
2) After this delay, the guy then admitted he had no clue as to how to fit the kit
So now im left with the car still in its original form, and a bodykit wrapped in bubble wrap lying around on the garage floor. On the plus side, the car is booked for next monday at a PROFESSIONAL place in Wigan (the same guy who fitted the varis kit to to chris [the owner of hyper sports and racing] 700bhp demo supra). So hopefully it will all work out

he already took the original panels off, it was when he went to apply the kit he realised he didnt know what he was doing - he thought the kit was too small! At least he didnt try and snap it into place on the car though, that would have cost me a lot of money lol

Sweet car... My friend love's supra's and they are his dream car. I like Supra's, RX-7's, and F-Body's(camaro's/firebirds).
Man Grez what kinda job do you have that you can afford this?
I'm still young I suppose compared to alot of you(18yr), but maybe not. Ya'll are all prolly those smart foriegner pplz that get into high-tech crap at the age of 4 and own your own companies by 18

lol nope, im from a crappy run down area in yorkshire lol. I work a lot in power stations, but also do part time at a local college helping out with sport studies. And oh yes, the engine is being tuned, definitely by the summer. A stage 1 kit will see the car to 400bhp, including full Blitz Nur spec exhaust system, plus air induction kit, and hopefully, some uprated turbos should see it to 450bhp. I want it done before the shows kick off this year in about june time.

I've tossed around the idea of powering up my volvo
It'd be so cool to pimp it out(so to speak) because u never see one. Especially an 86 model.
I think I said this in another thread, but if my grades are good this semester my dad is going to install a turbo in my car, which would rock! We'll dyno test it before and after, but he's guessing a turbo would add between 40-50hp to the car.
If I was to rock out the volvo i would: take off the stupid roof rack and get the car painted, as well as fix the small dents in the hood - get the windows tinted, get a new set of tires&rims for it, new exhaust system, clean up the engine compartment, redo the interior(drivers side is missing carpet), finish the sound system(it needs new 3'' and 6 1/2'' spearkers + tweeters), run a new amp wiring kit(it already had one but it's old and wired poorly). It would be fun little project but it'd be something I would do after i have another car and then put it in car shows for the hell of it, mostly for laughs

lol sounds good sp3ak, post pics if it goes well! By the way, GREAT NEWS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! supras gone to the body shop today, the guy said it should be ready in time for santa pod on the 28th of this month. Also, while I was there, ordered some induction parts: apexi induction kit, Blitz Nur spec exhaust system, and a HKS blow off valve. These will be fitted within next two to three weeks, should be sounding nice when its finished, and be up to 400bhp
Been a great day...lol

nah hes right, theres a lot of people who steal cars over here because theyre nice, without being insured. The good thing is, having a modified car makes it personalised, meaning people tend not to steal them, because its obvious its not theirs. Ive been lucky so far in that ive never had a car stolen, but if someone took the supra, I have no doubt in my mind that they would turn up dead within a week

Why don't you get an ignition kit like in The Transporter. You have to punch in a code to get it started. ORRR I saw on a lexus commerical the other day... FINGER PRINT RECOGNITION! Now I'm not big into cars so maybe that's been around for a whlie but I just think that's cool. It has finger print scanners on the door handles, trunk, and even for the ignition.

Nice grez, we all wanna hear that sound recording!
On the theft - all your immobilizers are only good against some joy riders, who'd want to just take the car for fun ride, stoned kids, that type of crap peope.
If someone wants your special car, and had it 'ordered' trust, there's NOTHING you can do to stop it - just hope yuo got it insured. 2 of my friends had cars stolen from under their appartments windows. One was an E30 M3 (talk about rare, in custom metallic green, with squared ligts..), and another was an Audi TT (back when they just came out).
First guy had a phone call the next day and was asked if he wants to buy the 'information' on how to get his car back (buy the car back basically). He didn't have indurace, he was stuck. The guys life went off track for like 6 months, he took leave off absence from college, I mean seriously tough... He's doing great now, btw.
And the other dude hired a detective for his TT, and in 3 days he recieved a phone call from 'somebody' who told him to 'Stop looking, as the car is gone". That means it was probably in Russia already.
So all you immobilizers, and gismos like finger print ID (marketing joke, if they REALLY need it, they'd make you put your own finger, or worse, just take your finger...) aren't very helpful. Yes, having a custom car makes it harder to steal, but if someone has ordered it, there is very little you can do. East Europe is so dangerous in this sense, and driving between Germany and Baltic countries, through Poland and such, is better be done with some partner, especially if you have some nice car.
