remove all tray stuff, remove all but most critical startup items, do defragment, clean up registry, clean up HDD, increase pagefile memory size(1024Mb recommend) and such.....youll notice a little prformance boost for sure....or sometimes even more then a little.
Or you can just run the game at settings in which your computer can handle. :x --> :P

Greetings...
I am sixth on the black list so I believe I can post my review.

Graphics:10/10
Sound:8.5/10
Control/Playability:10/10
Replayability:7/10
Story:6.8
Overall:8.5/10

The graphics are astonishing very well crafted high polygon models and massive textures that remind me shots from PGR3 from Xbox360.Awsome Blur Effect on high speeds...I dont like the Nitrous effect with the light trails.Maybe on the Most wanted 2
EA will reconsider putting that effect again.
...I dont like not having a replay feature in the game similar to the one found in Driv3r.

The Sound is simply amazing...The Rx8 Sounds like an Rx8---Cause I own one...
Most of the V6 Engine sounds (Lexus Audi Porsche) are real .... The Best V10 sound that gives me the shivers is the V10 from Galardo...THX what can I say!!!
I do like most of the EATRAX but some Rock HeavyMetal they do not fit in there...
I really Miss the Soundtrack from The Need For Speed Underground(Overseer Fluck BT .etc)

The Controls are fine as they should be!!!The Bullet Time Feature Is really gorgerous!!!

The Story is OK like a mid 90s B-movie.But I cannot expect something Better in a Racing Game.I dont know what is happeng next I would love to see Cross's Vette Explode...!!!MF!!

I really miss the Free Roaming in Quick race Mode...And Again a replay feature...

Maybe the NFSMW2 is going to better...

No freeroam? That sucks. But then again, In UG2, I never used it because it got very boring anmd the races were too easy.

Would be great if people stuck to the thread topic. There is a Help forum for these questions/issues.

We don't need help on Free Roam; we're just giving our opinions about not having Free Roam outside Career.

My nickel ...

I was very excited to finallly get the game and had high expectations of it. Unfortunately, it let me down in many ways. Being chased by the police and crushing them with giant metal donuts is fun and all, but after a few hours, I just found the game to be tedious. Underground 2 had many negatives, but it also had a lot of positives to make the game interesting and worth playing.

Disappointing features or lack thereof ...

The lack of drift mode was thoroughly disappointing (I'm only up to 11th on the Blacklist, so if I haven't reached it yet, correct me). That mode alone kept me playing Underground for over a year with my friends and Underground 2 for several months (wasn't as much fun on U2) ... I'm confident every one of my friends would also say that was their favourite mode, as well ...

I can't believe they kept lanes for drag racing. That feature has always got my blood boiling in the previous NFS games and continues in this one.

No dyno tuning ... :( That was a great feature of U2 that I thoroughly miss ...

No replays ... :( I loved racing perfectly, pulling off excellent corners, drifts, jumps, and even flips and then watching them in 3rd person view in the replay. Also made it very easy to show off to my friends :)

Much less comprehensive visual tuning ... My creativity has been stifled ... :(

The AI is still terrible ...

Unrealistic prices ... Mustang costs more than a Lexus IS300 ? On what planet ?

To sum up: I played pretty every NFS game up to this one non-stop through to the end ... After 1 night, I'm fairly indifferent to playing MW again ...

Some people may say that it's not supposed to be like NFSU2, but I disagree. I think that with any gaming series, you should keep what's good in the previous games, fix/replace/remove the bad, and continue to add new features. With this most recent entry into the NFS line, I feel that they removed a lot of good that should've been left alone and left too much of the bad.

You say Mustang GT 2004/5 cost less then Lexus? in what country??

As for other things....well tuning is normal, i only miss basicly head/tail lights and front/rear/side bumpers the most....and maybe muffler tips.

Dude, you can't compare the prices of cars in NA to EU. For example, the Chrysler 300C is about $36,000 CDN in CA but in EU, the Chrysler 300C is considered a luxury car and it costs about $60,000 (and this is the starting price).

The base Mustang GT is $25,835 USD ... The base IS300 was a little over $30K, IIRC ...

OK.

Ive played the game i dont like it, WAY TO REPETATIVE, no modifications ( well there is but they firetruck suck) sound isnt very good, no drift, all the cars i been in dont seem to have much power (ive been in everycar) and none have much power, or dont feel as if they are doing what speed they say they are doing on the clock, if your still with me

Anyway NO DEPTH INTO CUSTOMISATION, that has pissed me off ALOT

Well heres my car as is now.

You probably hate it, but its ok

That's actually a nice Cayman and I see you're one of the new so-called NFS fans part of the Underground series. MW is not about customization. It's about racing and evading cops. It's an NFS title that gets very close to its roots.

That's its major downfall ...

I own every NFS game ever made ... So I'm not a "new so-called NFS fan" ... As I said earlier, with any gaming series, it should evolve with each succeeding game by keeping the good, fixing the bad, and adding new features.

What I think is funny, is that 95% of the people, after UG 2 came out, were begging EA to add exotics, and get back to its roots. So, they listen to the public, and again, a lot of people are complaining about what they asked for!!! Make up your minds!!!

I'm not complaining at all... I'm loving this game, and I knew what I was getting into when I bought this game. If you're gonna moan all the way just because of this, you shouldn't even get this game in the first place.

You don't get to do Customizations in NFS HP2, do you? At least you get to do it here. So my suggestion is, take this game as if it's NFSHP3, not Most Wanted, if you have that kind of mindset...

I put it this way. If you bought Most Wanted expecting it to be the Underground series with a pinch of Hot Pursuit, You were wrong . This game is focused around the Hot Pursuit aspect with a hint of customization that is built in with the whoele gameplay of HEAT. So its really just a matter of what game you are into. Old school NFS, or the Underground. This isnt the kind of game for customizing your import.

Yea i agree with korge, this is deffinetly hot pursuit 3, but at least they give you a little customizung, needles to say I wil still be pumping out custom tuners in the UG2 showroom, lol.
If you want to get the game, you gotta get it on the 360, the f'ng grafix compared to ps2, i mean no comment, especially on HD.
Gameplay is good, the engine sounds are f'ng terrific, but I miss custom vinyls and mix and match kits, if underground 3 looks anything like mostwanted it is a must buy, lol.

The problem begins from the commercializing of the NFS Brand...Once Upon a time EAGAMES Had to pay for every car or part that they wanted to put in NFS...Now most of the Automobile Brands they pay just to see their cars into the NFS franchise. For Example:How many of players they know a brand that is beeing called FIAT?Its a strictly italian brand which focus in the Europian Market Only! So What do you think about their Brand New Release of the Punto (which is Fantastic Car and the Abarth version will blow us all away). Why do you think The game doesnt have any other FIAT car?Like Ferrari Masserati Alfa Romeo? Why do you See All Those Volkwagen related Brands into the Game?VW Golf Audi TT A3 A4 Porsche Lamborghini...

Think again...

Cheers!!!
