Yes, You can find better bang-for-the-buck speakers, but for highend speakers, Bose are pretty much them most popular around.2furio wrote:I honestly think that any Bose product is not worth it. You can easily find great products at lower prices (Sony, Pioneer, etc.).
Which speakers do ya have set up?
I think that I have sound system close to A-Styling.
Sub-woofer 1KW power and home theatre sub-woofer power 240Watts,5 Speakers hightone each 150W and 5 from home theatre system each 120 Watts so that is 1350
Watts of high tone and 1240
Watts of deep tone(Woofers).
When i play MW of hear music neighbors are thinking that street racing is in my room.
Once I managed to break a glass with woofer.I put a glass in it and put music loud. The glass broked and I had a hard time cleaning it.
I will post pics when I take them.

Even if it's true, I don't think that's "cool", I'd rather think it's ridiculous, cause I can imagine it sounds crappier than a simple creative 5.1 set because your room will probably be way too small for such a big amount of power. Most people want to play games on a volume they are able to enjoy the game instead of having their eardrums blasted right into their brains. I can probably break glass too with my stereo set, but it's not about power, it's about quality!
No offense dude, just trying to make my point clear because I hate these discussions which go like:
"I have 400Watt! "
"I have 2000Watt, so mine are better!"
Okay I'll get on-topic now:
Here are the speakers of my Mediacenter:

200 Watt RMS each powered by a 20 year old Technics SU-V40 with 75 Watt RMS output @ 8Ohm (Amp still sounds amazingly clear, just the onboard VIA soundcard bothering at this moment, but I'm getting a soundblaster soon)
And my PC-Speakers (they look rubbish and they are
<-- best image I could find, I got them with my 486 so they aren't available anymore yeah right and I have a 2000 Watt subwoofer and 15 150 Watt satellitesEuroRacer wrote:Kid Cro wrote:I think that I have sound system close to A-Styling.![]()

Ok. Listen. Quality of my set up is great. I get that set up witouth home theater system from guy who have Pub. He had that in his Pub and he bought evrything new so he gave me that coz he knows me and its good friend of my dad.
So my point is like A-Styling said someone like bass more than clear sound but I am on some middle between Bass and high tone.
About my room.Yeah its toooooo small for that but I dont care. I enjoy in it.
You said that your speakers have 8 Ohm. well mine is working on 4 and 8 Ohm and high tone speakers on 2 Ohm so I can put them even in a car.If you have more Ohm your sound is not so clear.

Kid Cro, it's really hard to understand you... I don't care about which system is better, I want you to understand that it's not about how much high-tone and low-tone "power" you've got, it's about having a decent amp and speakers. Not about watts, watts are just a number, sometimes you can get more sound out of a quality 40W speaker than out of a cheap 500W speaker (that doesn't mean that everything that's cheap must be bad)
also, if you've got too much bass, you turn on the treble or reduce the bass and if you have too much treble, you do it the other way around. Logival isn't it?
Just 2 weeks ago, I moved into a room twice as big as my previous room, and because my speakers tend to sometimes have a little bit too much bass which sounds horrible in small rooms, I was amazed about how the sound changed. Just a question, how can you run different speakers on different resistances? Have you got multiple amps? And since when can 8 Ohm speakers be mounted into a car, I thought there's only < 4 Ohm for cars?About my room.Yeah its toooooo small for that but I dont care. I enjoy in it.

If I'm right(correct me if I'm wrong) it's shiznit about the clearance of sound getting worse when the restistance(Ohm) increases. If you have more Ohm your sound is not so clear.
Ok again no offense and I'm not trying to tell you that my system is better, I just want to make myself clear cuz it's really not about having loads of Watts...
I know that.EuroRacer wrote:I dont wanna say that mine is better. Coz I did not hear yours so I cannot judge.

Like I said before. Someone loves bass.

Read again my post. I said that they are working on 4 and 8 Ohm. 4 in a car 8 in a room.

That's not true, because I wasn't sure about it, I did some research about it on Google, and I found out that the differences are so small they aren't even hearable... Still not quite sure about it tho...Its logical. If your speaker have more resistance then he shakes more and gives stupid sound.
How that is not thrue? You said it. They arent hearable so much on low but put music loud and if resistance is big you will not hear clear sound. I know that coz my home theratre woofer have more resistance than one that I get from guy who have Pub and when I put music very loud he torcher himsesf coz there is too much resistance and he is shaking and cant gave clear sound while big woofer gives clear and deep sound.EuroRacer wrote:Its logical. this is wut i have right now http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/de ... 0_0816.jpg
They looks old but remember old speakers are very good.I know that its hard to believe but that is thrue. They are maybe not so powerfull but they have more quality than new series speakers.(I mean on speakers today)

You can use any speaker that has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms or more using a typical car audio head unit. However, most car audio head units are designed to make their maximum power output at 4 ohms, so you'd be looking at close to half the rated output at 8 ohms, which essentially cuts an already low potential clean volume by another 3 dB. The solution to this, of course, would be to go with a dedicated speaker amplifier capable of driving your 8 ohms speakers to your desired volume level ... assuming, of course, that your speakers can handle the power required to attain said volume level ...EuroRacer wrote:And since when can 8 Ohm speakers be mounted into a car, I thought there's only < 4 Ohm for cars?
Also, while 4 ohms is pretty much standard, it isn't a set rule. Many AC Delco speakers are 10 ohms and Bose tends to use very low impedance speakers, each individually amplified rather than using a central amplifier located within the head unit. Can't say I'm a fan of either ...
if you have one speaker at 8 ohms, and you add another in parallel, it will be 16 ohms. I you hook it up in series, it will go down to 4 ohms. right now i have my speakers at .5 ohms. JUST BECUASE MY SPEAKERS AND AMPS CAN HANDLE IT! The way i do that is i have two speakers, that are 1 ohm each and i wired it in series so it now becomes .5... I don't know if this helped but here you go...

Those 64 ohm speakers they use for rock concerts are complete trash ... Obviously the 4 ohm speakers in your car own them ...
