Let's build a big map of all the important places!!!

Post by flatlander757 »

I do not have the game on the computer, but I imagine it would be extremely helpful to many people if someone could take a screenshot of the entire map, and then edit it posting locations of good areas to either rack up bounty(buses!) or lose the police(the stadiums), etc etc.

If someone can just get me a screen shot I'm willing to start it off

The map can be found on EA's site if I'm not mistaken... :)

Thanks

Here it is for starters... this is what I'm talking about...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/ ... apbeta.jpg

Because I had to search through hell and high water to find the freakin bus station before I knew where it was... I figured this could help out some new people to the game.

-The Baseball stadium is a great place to lose all the cops following you, as long as you don't have a helicopter to see where you're going... I usually will get a trail of cop cars behind me and go through one of the entrances(they are marked as pursuit breakers as well!) then duck to one of the sides inside of the stadium so they can't see you.

-The Football stadium is a great place if you want to do a long highway pursuit. I ended a $520,000 bounty pursuit once by driving around the area around the stadium, and once the cops were far enough behind, ducking into the stadium itself. Worked great!

-The bus station is a good place to rack up insane amount of bounty. Find the row of buses, and then go behind all of them to find a ramp... use it to jump up on top of them and just stay there... Police will come flying at you wrecking into the buses. Occasionally a cop will find his way up there too... I've been told to reverse and knock him off, but that never works for me, he usually pushes me so I'll drive off and then go in a circle right back up the ramp again.

What do you guys think? Know of any other great places like this?

This is very useful! GT and I had a discussion about this, but unfortunately we can't do it because we're still not familiar with the world. I'll try to get in touch with GT to add this up in the NFS Most Wanted F.A.Q thread.

Thanks for your contribution! :D

+1 cool point for the new guy!

Yeah, if anyone has any good locations, let me know and give a description...

Show me where the location is and I'll add it to my map to make everything more uniform.

This will definitley be useful. If it comes along, maybe this might be stickied. First though, I think the map should be larger and higher qaulity.

Alright.. here's a bigger map, I left it blank so that people can use it as a template.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/ ... /MWmap.jpg

I think a better way to label all the places would be with numbers and a separate map "key."

Like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/ ... update.jpg

KEY:
01. Baseball Stadium. Great when you have lots of cops behind you and there are NO helicopters above. Drive through one of the entrances(which also happen to be pursuit breakers) and stay in the field, drive to a side so that you are out of the line of sight to anyone outside the stadium.

02. Football Stadium. Similar to the Baseball Stadium, but there is no pursuit breaker. It is a good place to hide after driving around the highway around the entire "Downtown" perimeter once you've lost the cops. If you can lose the cops and are near this place, it's almost a sure thing that you won't get found.

03. Bus Station. Good place to rack up easy bounty. Do something to get in trouble and drive through the glass and up the ramp so you end up on top of a row of buses. Cops will plunder themselves into the buses trying to get you, but instead destroy their own cars. Cops will sometimes find their way up to the buses as well, but you can usually just reverse and knock them off.

What do you guys think?

If you have something to contribute, please state the following information:
a. Location name?
b. What you use it for?(ie: why is it useful?)
c. How do you use this area to your advantage?

Thanks guys! I'd like to get at least 3 or 4 locations for every district, so please contribute what you can!

Sorry to say, i cant really provide you the escape points.

I only look on my racing map with the red triangle, then i keep heading to that way just for tight escape.

Will try to do something for everyone if i can

I don't think the escape points are needed; there're too much to be remembered. :?

I just wanna add...the bus station...notice there is 2 ramps, the left one leads up to the buses..the right one leads up to a platform, and going on top of it has the same effect of being on the buses, and it's flat, meaning any cops wandering up there, you can push them back down easily.

at the beach, there is a narrow place to drive through and you can knock down shelter. but they are weak. there is also on a highway a building of crates you can smash through, and that will kill one cop behind you. and like stig said, the corners of buildings

here are some updates

The breakable corner building is somewhere in the hilly part of the ocean side... I think close to the breakable boat.

Alright here's an update:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/ ... 9a68fd.jpg

KEY:

04. College Building. This is a really good place to hide if you can get out of the polices' sights. First off, to actually reach the "04" point, you need to get there from the *(thought I'd add this seeing as it took me a few moments to figure out how to get inside the building). You can sit inside there and chill out without worrying about anyone finding you. It is also covered so the helicopter won't find you. If you don't have TOO many cops behind you, try driving at full speed through the building, then stop and pull a bootlegger turn so the cops are fooled and fly off over the edge(you'll see what I'm talking about when you are there).

05. Underground Parking Garage.Good place to lose the cops, if you go inside you will see that there is a solid wall with a small space to drive on the other side. You can lead the cops down there and pull a U turn, drive back through the smaller path, pulling another U turn at the end. This will confuse the hell out of the police considering you can pull this stunt quickly and cleanly.

Eh? It's getting there

The underground parking space is the hard one. There are so many pillars there that I keep crashing into, and when I'm in heat 4 or 5, the cops will block me once I crashed... :?

It's probably a better place to use at heat levels 3 and under.

What are some good spots to lose the cops at heat level 5? I'm having a hard time doing that.

The construction sight which leads to the highway from a big jump. There's a pursuit breaker and a Cooldown spot in 1 location, which is very convenient because after you lose the cops, the hiding spot is just right in front of you. :)
