omg, i'm gonna have nightmares now....
EA did a good thing taking away hydros, neons, and spinners (definitely)
but i still miss the ability to customize lights... i can live without mirror or rear light customization, but the headlight color... i miss that.... not to mention the ability to layer vinyls...

Hmm, that might be cool, though I don't know if that's technically possible. The games graphics engine is what it is, and one cannot simply "increase" the amount of detail for a so called "high quality" render.mores wrote:there should be a "render high quality image" option to export your car. use a renderer that's used in 3ds max or cinema or maya and get a pretty real looking pic.
I'm taking my screenshots at 1600x1200 full AA and am very happy with the quality I'm getting. But for people with lower powered gfx some kind of reference renderer, even software based, for screen captures would be nice (that would propably only work in garage though, not in-game).
It certainly is technically possible. Witness the screenshots coming from Gran Turismo 4 in the GT4 thread - the PS2 is simply not capable of rendering to those resolutions, rather the engine is used to render direct to file. The difference here is that EA haven't included such a Photo Mode, and that's what mores is wishing for..vellu wrote:Hmm, that might be cool, though I don't know if that's technically possible.
