The First two Final Destination movies had great special effects (particularly the massive car pile-up on the Highway (in #2)). Hope this one will be just as effective.
…Well, It will put me off rollercoaster’s for life, guaranteed :P

LMAO @ Crazy taxi

Chris Penn: 1965-2006 Image

Actor Chris Penn, brother of Sean Penn and star of such films as Reservoir Dogs and Mulholland Falls, was found dead Tuesday at a condominium in Santa Monica; he was 40. Few details were released surrounding Penn's death late Tuesday afternoon, though sources reported there were no signs of foul play, and an autopsy was to be conducted to determine the cause of death. A spokesperson for the Penn family confirmed the actor's passing and released a statement saying that Penn's family "would appreciate the media's respect of their privacy during this difficult time." The son of director Leo Penn and actress Eileen Ryan, Penn was the younger brother of Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn and musician Michael Penn, and began his acting career in the early 80s, appearing in such films as Rumble Fish, All the Right Moves, and Footloose; he appeared alongside his brother in the 1986 film At Close Range. Penn went on to specialize in working-class character roles, achieving fame for his portrayal of Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs as well as such films as Short Cuts, The Funeral (for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nomination), and Mulholland Falls. Most recently, he appeared in the film version of Starsky & Hutch as well as episodes of TV series Entourage and Everwood, and his latest film, The Darwin Awards, was slated for a premiere Wednesday night at the Sundance Film Festival. --Prepared by IMDb Staff

I just saw I, Robot. That movie's freking tight. It's all bad-ass action and has a good storyline, too.

You're not serious, are you?
I think it sucked big time...
Soooo predictable...
One of the worst sci-fi, action flicks that i've seen in the last couple of years...
Gave it 3/10 @ imdb.com.
The only worse movies i've voted at imdb that can be counted as sci-fi are:

The Time Shifters (1)
Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 (1)
Armageddon (2)
Supernova (2)
Time Changer (2)
Wing Commander (2)

Do NOT watch those movies.

Edit: Btw... If you want good sci-fi i suggest you see for example Twelve Monkeys or Dark City...
And obviously if you haven't seen them: The Alien series, Terminator movies (not necessarily the 3rd :P)

Of all the movies you just listed, I've only heard of the Terminators and Alien(s). Anyway, I'm not a big fan of sci-fi.

I thought Armageddon was a great movie, mainly because of Liv Tyler. Nevertheless, the storyline was superb too. :)

Are you kidding me, Andre? The storyline is suberb!? Lets recap:

An asteroid/meator is heading for earth that threatens the existence of our planet - Highly original ain't it?

NASA attempt to place a nuke in the asteroid to blow it up before it reaches earth, but it has to be dug in deep - fair enough...

NASA doesn't have the technology to dig such a big hole, so they approach some dude who work is an oil refinery for his amazingily, wonderful high powered drilling machine.

Unfortunatly NASA does not have people capable of operating the drill

To compesate for this, they ask some ordinary guys who can operate the drill to train as an astronaut, because apparantly according to the movie, it is easier to become an astronaut than to operate a drill  - Obviosly the sheer physical and mental capacity required to become an astronaut is not enough to know how to operate a drill.

Shall I go on?

Actually for the storyline it is best to have a bunch of crazy oildrillers in a spaceship than to have a pack of MIT NASA geeks who seva the day. :P

Tekken
Status: In Pre-Production
Cast: None Yet
Director: Charles Stone III
Writer: None Yet
The Scoop: Charles Stone III, director of Drumline, Paid in Full and the Bernie Mac comedy Mr. 3000, will helm the game-to-film adaptation of Tekken. Stone says, "It will not be anything like Mortal Kombat or any of the Lara Croft movies. You will get the feeling of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. I want the audience to get to know the characters, so when they have to battle each other it will be more dramatic." Both Jet Li and Jackie Chan have been loosely attached to the project at times, but Stone says he's hoping to make a fresh start. "It will have plenty of 'A' list actors," Stone says. "Our budget is good so we shouldn't have problem there." The film, based on Namco's lucrative game franchise, is budgeted at around $60 million. The script is currently being written and that Tekken should start production in 2005.
This will obviously result in the beginning of the end for one of my favourite titles
I guess Jet Li would be either Marshall Law, or.... Forest Law

Takers anybody?

There's only one guy who should play Marshall Law, and that's Bruce Lee. Clearly Marshall Law is a blatant rip off of Bruce Lee... Tekken should really start making more of their own unique characters which are far more interesting, rather the Blade-look-a-like...
