nfsmw tears terribly

hello!

I have an athlon dual core 4400+, 2gb rab, geforce 7800gtx and winxp sp2. game is running really choppy at 1024x768 all options high/on (except vsync that is). any idea why does this happen? i have patch 1.3 installed. sometimes it runs really great but most times i start it, it either plays smoothly but reaaaally sloooowwww or plays insanely fast (like fast forward) and very choppy. i tried both vsync on and off, same probs. any ideas?

I think I heard somewhere someone else with a dual core setup complaining about similar problems. I think the suggested solution was setting the affinity for the game process (speed.exe) to single core only.

same problem i used to had, try a spyware cleanup, still a bit laggy in free roam beginning butsoon it goes at normal speed
