"farcry" vs "doom3"
what is better "farcry" or "doom3" first i thought to make doom3 or hl2 but i think it wuld be 100% for hl2 and 0% for doom3. so in my opinion farcry is better because of amaizing graphic and good scenario. and now i want to hear your opinion. thanks.

FEAR is scary as shiznit... at some points a find my self shooting the air, thinking there's something there!! For me both Farcry and Doom3 weren't exactly revolutionary in terms of gameplay.. but I enjoyed Farcry due to vast game world, tho it did get a little dissappointed when the genetically mutated monsters appeared half way through the game
i totally agree i do basicly the same in FEAR if i sense there's something wrong i just start shooting evrywhere... anyway about domm and far cry: FArcry is a really great game but @ the moment i saw those stupid monsters i uninstalled the game, i meen WTF its a beautifull island and tje scenario is just great but a soon as those stupid mutated monkeys came the game sucked...Sir Ibi wrote:FEAR is scary as shiznit... at some points a find my self shooting the air, thinking there's something there!! anyway doom 3: its all the same, just walk around a corner shoot the alien and go to the next cornor to slaughter even more stupid things although the game can be scary @ some points...
i think FEAR still is the best game at the moment, it scares the shiznit outta you with a little girl in a nice red dress

Both games involve fighting monsters (Farcry become a monster fighting game after a while despite screenshots). The AI in D3 is poor, and predictable. The graphics are decent, but require way too much PC power to work out. Farcry uses the Crytec engine (Making those awsome graphics for far distance draw) which is a very well programmed game for any below average Pc. Gameplay is much much better, although HL2 is a different story. HL2 is in a league of its own.
I've only played the Far Cry demo but I've played both Doom 3 and Doom 3 - Resurrection of Evil. You can't really compare them. I mean even though they're both FPS, they're totally different. Doom 3 will scare the shiznit out of you (especially when you play on a big screen with surround and in pitch dark...you definately need to have spare underwear).
As for Far Cry, I can't really take it seriously because whenever I play, it reminds me of when I went to Cuba or the Dominican and there's such a "happy" and positive atmosphere. Nonetheless, the graphics are jaw-dropping and it is a great game, just not my beer type.
A much better comparison would be Doom 3 vs. FEAR or Far Cry vs. Quake 4. On a side note, I believe FEAR is a lot scarier than Doom 3. While Doom 3 is very scary, I actually played through it but when I tried out the FEAR demo, I uninstalled it immediately after I encountered the "other side". I mean FEAR is scary on a whole new level, it scares the mind, it's unknown.
PS: I tried searching but what's the story of Far Cry and what's up with the mutated enemies in a tropical place?

The story for farcry pretty much sucks just like most other FPS games... the protaganist is on holiday with his girlfriend, strange explosions happen, girlfriend goes missing, he then tries to find her and comes across this mysterious dude who helps him. Finds out his girlfriend is CIA, and so forth and they are actually investigating wierd experiments somewhere secretly hidden away in the island, blah, blah, blah... i got bored, sold my copy of the game on ebay and made a few quid.

i hate both HL2 and Doom 3. in HL2 you have to deal with headcrabs that take your health down to 1 and not to mention a whole friggin city full of dem damn things and even though you can control the Antlions with the Hormone Grenades you still are paranoid that they will attack you. Then theres Doom 3. its too damn dark. too damn scary. and too many damn cheatin zombies who spawn in the little tiny radio corner next to you. Farcry just has very nice Water.
