Last Chase after Beating Razor
Last Chase after Beating Razor
I tried about 9 times to outrun the cops with level 6 heat. I would always get owned by the SUVs or something. How many times did you guys try to beat that part before you got past it. Also, any tips for beating that stage? It's the last portion of that part of the game, before the challenge series, right?
Thanks. =D

Actually AlWAYS stick to the highway. Get on a highway as soon as possible and stay on it until you're messaged to go over the bridge under construction. It's harder for the cops to stop you when you're always at top speed. And use the speedbreaker before a block to see where the spikestrip is and avoid it. As for SUVs, I find it's very fun when you use NOS and do a direct hit.
Out haul bumbum up to the baseball stadium, and hang around that area... there's enough pursuit breakers around in south rosewood, you've also got the north west area which gives you a big freeway/wide suburban loop to keep the cops guessing on, staying close to that area gives you not so far to go to the bridge. Hint: DON'T try to lose the cops, you never will instead do the usual -
1) Take the back of cops in road blocks (or S them if you've got the skill) if you don't like the look of the block change direction... and haul bumbum
2) keeping a large quantity of cops on your tail makes them dumber to some extent. Slowing down with a large number of them on your tail makes them fight between each other as they bunch up so do this just before a pursuit breaker
3) Speed breaker 180s round freeway intersection walls confuse the hell out of cops, string them together and you'll have cops havin' head-ons with each other, on that note slide, drift and 270/450 your self into side roads, again confuses the hell out of cops and sends them into total mayhem...

I made a video of the final pursuit using a path that gets you back to the first city with little chance of running into a roadblock. Once there, I kept hitting pursuit breakers even though there were only 3 cops left just to show where they all are, which created a second wave of cars and made the video more interesting, but you don't need to do this. I also rammed, backed up and went through two roadblocks, that normally you wouldn't have to do.

I used as many pursuit breakers as possibble, then i when i evaded or took out most of the cops i hid in the bus station until she messages me with the location of the bridge and booked it straight there via the nearesr highway, hiding in the station they didn't know my location so all I had to do is wait paitently for the message, after you get it its pretty easy from there.

It took me plenty of tries before managing to get to the Old Bridge. That pursuit, IMHO, was way tougher than the Black Edition Challenge's Rhino units.
I didn't use the highway. Mostly I just keep making turns and long cuts just to lose sight of the cops. The refinery, the place where you raced Ronnie, is the best place to make a scramble if you don't hit the pillars; they'll lose out on you eventually.

both videos are cool, although i might add that on the first video you were in some very hairy situations...
back on topic: hit as many pursuit breakers as you can, be unpredictable, but most important: KEEP MOVING! never even think of slowing down for any reason... stick to the middle of the road so they can't trap you against one side.
PS: check where the bridge is. i couldn't find it for like 3 minutes and the d**kheads got me eventually.
