wow 2.6ghz.....quite high.....even though i am on watercooling, once i set it to 2505mhz, my board will refuse to boot...if not i can even try pushing my 3800 to 2.6ghz

Possibly a bad batch or just a crappy chipset. I'm cooling with a Zalman CPNS 7700-CU btw.

I just tried running it on 2700 Mhz, it enters Windows perfectly but just reboots after 2 minutes or so. Maybe I should bump up the voltage, but I'm going to try that after I got all my watercooling stuff set up.

I found out why it refused to boot.

It's PC4800/DDR600 memory, but the A8N-SLI Deluxe refuses to boot with such high frequencies without a divider. So I can either set the frequency high without a divider on the memory but with a low multiplier, or use a high frequency with the normal 10x multiplier and a divider on the memory, with some tighter timings.

It's currently clocked at 2855, though it's able to go alot faster. It's even aircooled ( ! ) at the moment. I'll leave it like this for a while, I'm going to give it a try again when I got my watercooling in. Ran SP2004 for an hour without errors. Biosvoltage is 1.475, fluctuates in CPU-Z between 1.488 and 1.502.

The Titanium series cards kick ass.
I still had Ti4200 in use last week in it's still a good card.
It was old when i bought it almost 3 years ago and still you can play most of the new games with it (of course with crappy gfx).

I think 1,5gb of ram is quite enough if it's some sort of ddr.
If it's just normal sdram and you get a new mobo you'll have to get new memory sticks too.
So basicly you should get a new pc altogether

Well i'd suggest you get nothing new to your current system and just get a new one altogether when you have the money.
A radeon 9600 or 9800 won't help you much.

I'm not the ultra f***ing brain on computers... How the hell should I know if I should buy an AMD or an Intel. I'm on a $500 budget so screw PCI-E... AMDs are better for gaming, yes, but they cost muchos moros...
