Maybe i should try it some time...
I played Vice City... I did pretty well on the other missions but i just couldn't get through those where you had to drive those remote control helicopters and stuff.
I was nowhere near getting through those missions but other missions were quite "easy".
So i just stopped playing it because i got frustrated because of those remote control sobs.

I'm sure a quad video card set up will muscle through San Andreas. But there's still some programming techniques I'm sure Rockstar Games may have passed over when making the game. Anyways, all other games I play run good.

I got a question, If one of the cards happens to break or die out, would it affect the other three?

Let me guess... you've got one of those Dell XPS's ?

If one of the PCBs on either of the 7900GTXs, then it should only be necessary to remove one of the SLI bridges from either the 1-3 or 2-4 cards (I think)

And why are you worrying about it breaking or dieing out at the moment
Heck my nVIDIA GeForce FX5500 is still going hard even after 2-3yrs

You do have warranty on the computer or parts right?

No it's not a dell, hate brand names, mines a custom computer. Just wanted to know, and yes I have a warranty on every part.

I admit to having a brand name Dell, I got my XPS directly from them. It's my first time having my own computer but next time I'll probably go custom as well. I just haven't put a computer together before, I'm just getting experienced in using one.

haha, if you live in the US, and have watched Beauty and the Geek, it's not always that easy

one person kept plugging the monitor cable into the CD drive... it was hilarious

I didn't assemble my pc this time because the last time that i updated most of my parts i ended up breaking the old CPU :).
But i think the newer CPU's don't break so easily but i didn't want to take the risk and just payed 35€ for the store to assemble my pc for me.

Hey I'm buying a present for my cousin and I got a $125 budget. He needs a new graphics card and I was wondering if an ATI RADEON 9250 256MB DDR PCI would be a good enough card for him. He mostly plays UT2004, The Movies, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and NFSMW. So would he be able to plays those games.

Do NOT get an Ati card for fps-games.
At least not as crappy as a 9250.
And i'm quite sure that doesn't cost 125$?
At least i wouldn't pay more than 40$ for that piece of crap .
(But it probably costs a bit more than 40$, eh? )

If you're willing to spend the 125$...
Get a 6600GT. You can get the 128mb version with that money.
It's sooooooo much better than the 9250 even if the 256mb of memory sounds so great.

Edit: And wtf? That's a PCI-card!
Does your cousin have an AGP slot or a Pci-E slot?
His pc can't be that crappy that it doesn't even have an AGP slot .

It only has PCI.
And Best Buy is the only store I can buy from, I don't want to buy online. Where do you see the 6600GT for $125. It's $200 at Best Buy.

Is it from the stoneage?
Well... I'd say buy him a new mobo in that case.
Even AGP-cards are starting to be ancient but a PCI-CARD. LOOOOOOOOL .

Ps. I checked the price for the 6600GT at newegg.

But seriously... Get the guy some cheap mobo with a Pci-e slot if he has a good enough CPU still... And you'll still have enough money to get a gfx-card too which will work so much faster than any Pci card.

I'm not going to buy all that crap for him, and about newegg, my cousins birthday is in 2 days and I don't feel like paying for priority shipping so I'm stuck with buying from Best Buy since it's local. So since the 6600GT is out of my price range the highest I can go with is the 6200, so is that one any good.

I forgot that newegg takes check orders so I guess I can get the 6600GT from there. And pabloz will this card be able to run the games I listed at least on medium settings with little to no lag. And will a 350 watt power supply be enough for it.

The 6600GT was a Pci-E card... I first thought you were buying a Pci-E card, not a Pci card.
Seriously... NO PCI CARD WILL RUN THOSE GAMES WELL.
Don't waste your money.
The money is better spent on a new mobo with at least an AGP slot and a GFX-card for it.
I bet you can get a new cheap mobo with at least an agp slot and some low end gfx-card for it with 125$
I know i would.

PCI is history.
I think even my first pc had an AGP slot for the gx-card and the processor was a 166mhz AMD K6-2...

And btw... What cpu does your cousin have?

He has Intel Celeron 2.5Ghz. It used to be my old computer and it has a GeForce4 MX4000 card in it and it ran UT2004 on normal settings perfectly. So now I guess the highest I can get is a 6200. Like I said I am not going to buy tons of crap for him.

I'm just trying to tell you that buying a Pci card at this day and age isn't a wise choice.
But hey... It's your money to spend on whatever sillyness you want.
I just wouldn't buy a computer part which technology is like 10 years behind.
If you'd buy the stuff from anywhere else than an expensive shiznit like bestbuy seems to be... You'd get a new mobo and a lot better performing gfx-card for probably less money than that Pci-crap.
